Uniball Kuru Toga Elite Mechanical Pencil Kit Review: Smooth Writing, No Sharpening Needed
Uniball Kuru Toga Elite Mechanical Pencil Kit Review: Smooth Writing, No Sharpening NeededThe Uniball Kuru Toga Elite mechanical pencil is designed for smooth, consistent writing. It keeps the lead sharp while you write, so you get clean, even lines without the hassle of sharpening. The silver barrel looks nice and feels comfortable in your hand. This kit comes with a 0.5mm tip, 60 HB #2 lead refills, and 5 eraser refills—perfect for school, work, or everyday use. You can write or draw without worrying about the lead getting dull.As a college student, I love this pencil because I don’t have to deal with sharpening (which I’ve never been great at). It makes taking notes and doing assignments much easier, especially during long lectures or study sessions. It’s a simple, reliable tool that keeps me focused on my work.

Great mechanical pencil
One of the better mechanical pencils I've used. Comfortable in my hand and basically self sharpening. Not too heavy, not too light. Ingenious little system that it uses. Easy to load and looks nice. The cons...the eraser is tiny. You might as well keep a rear eraser handy, because the eraser that's on it goes fast. They give you plenty of new leads with the pack in a small case, but the extra erasers that are included as not contained in a case and are super small so you can lose them easily. The cost...it shouldn't be as expensive as it is.

Nice pencil.
It’s weighty, got good grip, writes well, and feels like an overall quality-made pencil. The eraser looks like it’s not going to last long but they include replacements. I recommend.

Horrible eraser but writes beautifully!
This is probably the best mechanical pencil on the market. I gave 4 stars because the eraser detracts from the whole item, the pencil deserves 5 by itself. It’s got a good weight in my hand, perfect length makes it comfortable to use with my long fingers. The auto-advancing feature for the lead is brilliant, every time the pencil is lifted from the paper, just enough lead is advanced and if it’s not long enough there’s still manual capability. The lead itself is in middle range for hardness and doesn’t snap easily if there’s too much pressure while writing. Now about the eraser. It’s waaay too soft and skinny. The erasers on regular pencils are firmer and bigger than this one. I’ve tossed the extra ones and use a regular big pink eraser.

I love this pencil!
I bought this as a 'luxury' item. I had searched for something like 'nicest mechanical pencil' and found this. While the feature of turning the lead a little every time you pick up the point seems a little gimmicky, it actually does result in a pretty consistent line. The feel in the hand is okay, I do wish it were a little heavier. But for the price, it's not like you can expect it to have been machined from tungsten carbide bar stock or something...I like that it has a large enough grip area to be comfortable (I have big hands) while having a long enough point reinforcement to get into small places and accurately track against a straight edge, et cetera. I use this for creative writing and for technical drawing (usually tracing objects for reverse engineering, et cetera). I'm actually thinking of getting a second one to keep on my desk as I carry my original in my bag for use out and about. While there are less expensive options, this one still doesn't seem outrageously priced and I think provides a good value. It is tough enough to stand up to daily use. While the eraser is sized for people who 'don't make mistakes', it appears replacement eraser inserts are pretty readily available. If you erase a lot, though, get a separate eraser.
