These things either stick on to the side of the tank float on the top. You put bloodworm or freeze dried daphnia in them and the fish can nibble it as it gradually emerges through the little holes. Don't put too much in - I made that mistake -just a pinch or two. If there is too much the fish can't eat it that fast and it rots.

Bought these so I could slowly feed my pea puffers live blood worm, sadly the holes are far too small so they can't wriggle out
