Finally used up the whole box
So it took me years but I finally used up the whole box. The one thing I noticed is the past 3 months the bags started splitting or breaking down easier in my countertop bin. That might be because it took me 3 years to go through them since I live alone but besides that they have been great!

Don’t use this garbage liner for your food garbage
Bought this liner for a Behrens 5.6 L metal compost pail after running out of the Behrens brand bags. They fit okay-ish. Slightly small considering that it’s supposed to be a 6L bag, but there’s some minimal rolling over the edge of the pail, so it technically fits. Now, these bags HAVE to be compostable, because they are the flimsiest, most worthless bag I’ve seen. They come in a large roll, with perforations between each bag. I have tried to separate bags as delicately and slowly as possible, but they tear right in the middle about 80% of the time anyway. I swear I hear the roll softly laughing at my misery as I begrudgingly use the torn bag anyway since I’m to stubborn to simply throw out anything I spent money on. But that muffled laughter becomes a cacophony of demonic glee every time I go to empty the bin. The foul drippings of rot and decay pour forth from the worthless sack, mocking me as I gently lift the back from its dwelling place. The malodorous juice at the bottom of the pail is the coup de grace, a final bitter reminder of the worthlessness of this product.Be warned, fellow composter, these bags will be a waking nightmare for you as long as they exist in your household. I pray my warning reaches you before you suffer the same fate as I.

Replace plastic with these handy bags.
Needed something to put daily food scraps in. These work great to replace plastic and do not have to worry about them in the garbage dump.

Good but rip easily
I like that these are compostable, but I unfortunately lose a lot because they rip as I'm tearing them off to use. They sell thicker ones which I will be trying, and these hopefully keep the moisture in better as well.

Great buy, perfect for my kitchen compost pail
I shopped around for price and quality. This one fits both bills. The bags are easy to roll out of the box (which is recyclable cardboard). I have a 1.3 gallon kitchen pail for compostable materials. I have two pails--one for wet food and the other for nut shells, paper that is compostable but not recyclable. These bags fit perfectly, do not break even with wet ingredients put in. I tie them off when nearly full, put in my refrigerator until I have a few bags and then take to my local organic market (MOMs locally) that collects compostable materials, since I don't have a garden. For cheap bags, they are high quality.

Maybe a little too biodegradable, started coming apart before even using
The bags are definitely biodegradable. Having a household of 2 people, the bags take some time to fill up. So since that means I’ve had the bags for over a year now, they have become very weak and thin. With half of them still left, it is impossible to open one without the seams (which have weakened from time) ripping. And even if I were to get one open, I definitely wouldn’t trust the seam not to give once there is a little weight to the bag. So if you go through bags quickly, they’re great. If, like me, you go through the bags much slower, then I’d suggest a smaller quantity or try a different brand.

The Breakdown
These are great bags - they are big, strong, and inexpensive. My only complaint (and it's a biggie) is that they don't breakdown in a reasonable amount of time. I used them in my kitchen compost container, and then dumped them into my compost tumbler. The kitchen scraps (and my other garden waste) broke down as usual, but the bags did not. I had to pick them out, month after month, and attempt to compost them again, but they are very slow to break down. My garden is littered with tiny pieces of green bags. I'm sure that eventually it will all biodegrade, but it created a lot of extra work in my composting, and added very little. Eventually I just stopped using them, and put my kitchen scraps in the container "naked", and just wash it out after. We are using the rest when we take the dog for a walk.7/22/22 Update - It's been about 8-9 months since my original review, so I wanted to add a follow-up note to say that the bags have still not broken down in my compost tumbler. Every month I've to pick them out of the finished compost and move them back into the unfinished bin, but I'm done with that. Last night I gave up, and just started throwing them in the trash, but who knows how long my garden beds will be littered with green bits of un-composted bags. Some other reviewer said that they are only "Commercially Compostable". I don't know what that really means, but I wish that I had known it before buying these bags. BTW, we've found that they are useful for other purposes, but useless for kitchen waste composting, which is why I bought them.

Great little bags
These are the best compost bags I’ve used. I needed bags to fit my new compost bucket. My previous one was bucket shaped. New one is a rectangle and is 7.5” in length. These fit perfectly over the insert and are so sturdy. I change them every other day and they’ve never turn or ripped. The bags come in a roll, and are perforated to separate. No scent. And the best part, NO PLASTIC!
