You get what you pay for
I bought one of these from a seller on eBay. Could well have bought it here on Amazon. I have long been a fan of Dia Compe caliper brakes. I own two sets of the legendary Royal Gran Comp 400 brakes and they are wonderful. When I needed a single front caliper brake for my fixie, I thought I'd give these a try. In the photos, they seemed reasonably well made and of decent quality. However, after one ride, I can confidently conclude that these brakes are not quite what I wanted for the ONLY brake on my fixie.Pros:- cheap- cool electric pink anodized finishCons:- poor modulation- cheap compound in the shoes lead to bad squealing- pivot busing are soft plastic giving the brakes a spongy feelI have pro shop experience and I have tried just about everything I know to try to get these brakes to work better and gave up.Not recommended, especially if this is going to be the ONLY brake on your fixie.
