GREAT wood for all-around smoky yumminess (is that your stomach I hear growling?)
Fantastic wood for long, slow smoking of things such as bacon (yes, I went there), chicken, roasts and pretty much anything your little heart desires! The chunks are fairly small (2" - 3" pieces, more or less), so don't worry about buying some huge tree branch pieces and having to deal with that; they are easily manageable in any home smoker. Just be sure to soak them VERY well, or they do tend to catch on fire if added to very hot coals; hey, it is wood, after all. But soaking them overnight seems to do the trick. Pecan is an awesome wood that gives a mellow, rich flavor to any smoked deliciousness, and I can't recommend these (and all the CharcoalStore products) highly enough. They are all wonderful! :)
