The grate flaked its paint on the first heat. We have only started a fire once in the ring. We will have to wire brush all the flaking off before our Air BNB renters use it.

Perfect for cooking over a fire!

I replaced my brick fire ring with a metal one. This is a lighter duty one than sold by some places. It is still heavy enough to last a long time, yet be more portable. Sturdy and portable.

Diameter is fine but kind of short. Other disadvantage is that the grill is attached.

This ring is very well made I really like it handy with the grill connected glad I bought it works fantastic at my garage for dogs and burgers. thanks

I wanted to wait to review this fire ring until I've had a chance to use it a few times. Great ring, don't regret buying it. Upon delivery, my husband just pulled it out of the box and it was pretty much ready to use. If you've been camping in a campground at all, you will recognize this as the same "official" type that's used in lots of campgrounds, with a grate/grill to set things on and cook stuff. I burned in it a handful of times and it seems pretty good.
