So many people think files are useless because they've only used cheap crap from China. Once you get a good quality file in your hands to can see how machine die work was once done to very high tolerances with nothing but files. I know these are pricey and they take some time for shipping, but they will last a lifetime. I don't recommend the diamond files unless you are filing on hardened steel or materials that would dull a normal file.

These are great. I got these files to work over hardened parts on my tumbler and sear parts for my flintlock rifles.
