Decent for what it is, but wouldn't be my first choice
Long story short, I bought this as a cheap quick fix. I'm a real estate photographer, I had a tripod finally break, and needed something cheap in between paychecks that I could get shipped rather quickly. I won't compare this to a more expensive tripod, but as far as cheap tripods go, I've used cheap ones that are better. I've used other tripods of a similar price point with better construction, sturdiness, and durability.A few notes:- The included monopod is more of a marketing gimmick. It's annoyingly short, and honestly seems a bit silly. I rarely find myself in a situation in which I want both a tripod and monopod, and you can buy a much better monopod for a pretty decent price. This doesn't affect my opinion of the product because it had no influence on me buying it- I do enjoy the fact that the legs are clip style as opposed to screw style (personal preference)- Unlike some cheap tripods it does include a hook for counterweight- The included ball head is okay. Certainly fine for what you pay for. Keeping it as a back-up.- Note that this tripod is short. It says that upfront and I knew what I was getting so this doesn't affect my review of the product, but wanted to emphasize that for people.- For size and weight reference, I'm often using a Nikon D7200 and Tokina 11-16 f2.8.It is what it is, and for me that is a quick temporary fix and a future back-up if needed. Had I not used better tripods of a similar price I would rate it slightly higher. Of course, it's only $60, which is still a heck of a deal on a tripod

Amazing product for the price!
After using my trusty Velbon for twelve years, the head finally cracked open on me, so I decided it was time to get a new tripod, and I just happened to stumble upon Geekoto, so I decided to give them a shot. Overall, I am quite pleased with the build quality and ergonomics of the tripod!ProsExtremely light! The tripod is a ridiculously light two pounds! That makes it very easy for me to stick into my backpack and not worry about it.Geekoto also provides a nifty carrying case.Great construction. For such a light tripod, it is quite sturdy for holding cameras, and there is no play whatsoever when the legs are extended all the way.Good quality head! It reminds me of using Gitzo heads. Once you tighten the head, there is little to no wiggle, and it allows me to get the exact shot that I composed. Also, very smooth action when panningMonopod Functionality. This is probably the first tripod I've seen that can be used as a monopod. While I don't find myself needing to use a monopod often, I'll definitely be trying it out more often.ConsNot any that I can think of off the top of my head. The only small complaint that I have is that the quick release is plastic, but that's a small issue, and you just have to be careful.Check out my attached long exposure photos!

Perfect size and weight for travel
First off, GEEKOTO is one bomb tripod. I've been looking at many different tripods before I bought one, and ended up getting this, and he doesn't disappoint! I've had GEEKOTO for about a month and travelled from North American to Australia with him, and he was with me at all times (on the plane that is). He is small, light weight, and has some style to him. ladies love him, other tripods want to be him. He can get down low, but never dirty, but can also hang out at your eye-level. He is super easy to clean. I went to do some sunrise shots on the beach the other day, and we were standing in the sand. He got sand all up in his locking mechanism, and I took him apart within minutes to clean him up, let him dry, and put him back together. He is tough, too. I knock him on rocks, hit him on bricks, and have dropped him once, and still works like a charm. He has some scuffs, but nothing major! For what he is, he is very sturdy, compact, and lightweight! An amazing product at an amazing price point.Don't have to sell the leg to get this thing.

Excellent tripod for the price!
The media could not be loaded. This was my first Geekoto product. Geekoto is a new company that specializes in the manufacture and sale of photography products at an affordable price. Overall, I'm very impressed with this tripod. It's well-built, solid, and sturdy. It's also really lightweight, which makes traveling and hiking with it easy to do. Best of all, it can convert into a monopod, which is majorly helpful when in the field, since it's essentially two pieces of equipment for the price and size of one.I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. But I'm definitely impressed with what Geekoto is doing here, and I'd be interested to see more of their photography products. The only con I have with this particular model is that it's 58" high. I'm 5'10" and I felt this tripod was a little short for me. Fortunately, Geekoto offers a taller tripod. So if you're 5'7" and above, I'd go with the taller tripod.Absolutely worth the price. If you're into photography, videography, hyperlapsing, or hiking to remote spots to take great shots, this tripod is for you.5 stars.

Great customer service
Update: This company has great customer service! They sent me a replacement which has no issues with the ballhead. It works perfectly. There is no wobble. It’s not very durable. No matter how much I tighten the knobs the camera still wobbles on the ball head. It’s also short. May be ok for a small, lightweight mirror less camera but it still wobbles on the ballhead.
