The part was installed a month ago and so far is been working great. It was very easy to install, affordable price and very good quality.

I installed this over a month ago after watching a you tube video. Easy install and it has been working great.

The original thermostat in my Whirlpool side by side manufactured in January 1997 lasted 22 years and then the poor fridge started acting up... Freezing the refrigerated section, wide temperature swings in the freezer... After some googling I found out this inexpensive super common part was likely to be the culprit, and it's fairly easy to replace, so I did. The replacement held up for three years, and then same problem. Replaced it, three years later, same problem. Replaced it again with a part I bought on Amazon... This time, barely a year before it started acting up. So I bought this one and hopefully it's the last one for a while. I hate to send a perfectly good refrigerator to recycling just because a $10 part is failing.What this taught me, though, is how good the Ecowitt environment station is: an inexpensive system comprised of the Ecowitt GW1100 gateway and two temperature probes does a phenomenal job monitoring the temperature in the fridge and freezer, and alerting me in case the temperature gets too high. Highly recommended to evaluate the quality of your fridge -- and avoiding food poisoning. The screenshots attached show the temperature plots for the week, and you can see the change in behavior on Thursday when I replaced the thermostat.

The unit cost was 1/10 of the OEM listed on the Whirlpool website and despite minor differences with the cooler settings it works perfectly. Saved hundreds in repair costs.

This took less than 10 minutes for me to install in our garage refrigerator, and I am a woman who has no experience working on refrigerators. It looks like it would be comparable with many types of refrigerators that have the temp dial inside and on the top (ceiling) of the refrigerator. Fixed the problem and now it works great. Don’t hesitate to try it before giving up your refrigerator and buying a new one!

The last one was installed 12/09/21 and lasted till 4/3/24. What do you expect for 11$. It’s an old fridge and figure it’s worth changing a few more times before we upgrade. Fits perfect and had no installation problems

The freezer was getting too warm and the compressor wasn’t kicking back on. This fixed it. My only complaint is that the knob rotation is different that OEM and the numbers don’t mean anything any longer. It works though and saved a great deal of money. Despite that small issue, I would buy again.
