I replaced one filter housing once before .... cost was close to $280 .....This kit saved $270!! ..... I will never buy another replacement housing as long as I can purchase this kit!Instructions were very easy to understand and follow.I have had no problems with any leaks (when these housings fail, they will leak air into the fuel system and motor will not start unless the filter is reprimed) ...... will def purchace again ...... if needed!

Perfect fit

My recent 1/2 hour fuel filter change turned into a three day affair. I had to order this kit and rebuild the housing, I cut the old fuel hose and Auto parts stores don't seem to carry hose anymore. So I had to come back to Amazon for fuel hose and clamps. This kit is available without the purge bolt for a few dollars less, but that would have taken another day to get, In either case much less than the Auto parts store. This is an easy rebuild if you have the basic mechanical skills. My unit wouldn't pump up to remove the air, and other friends with a Duramax have had loss of prime and needed this kit to rebuild their fuel filter housing. After rebuild with the filter on the housing it pulled a suction on my finger. After reassembly in the truck I could hear air coming out the bleeder during the pumping right away. Buy one of these kits to keep in stock.

Lasted a few weeks o-rings were NOT diesel compatible turned soft and leaked!!!!
