This remover works pretty well. I wear waterproof, smudge proof mascara and it does remove it but can leave some behind at times. I use it with a cotton pad and find that it works best it I hold it on my lashes for thirty seconds before wiping off. It takes the rest of my makeup off great. It has a slightly oily residue but it will soak in quickly.
