Perfect lighting around the pool. EASY installation.

I replaced the expensive lights my installer used after almost all of them died within a few years. These were easy to swap out and a lot more affordable. But the major selling point for me is that they are sealed. The other lights I had wasps would nest in them, and they probably failed because the LED board is exposed more to the elements. I bought a bunch of these to have some as spares but not a single one has failed on me yet. Highly recommend these. I like the light level and color spectrum as well, very pleasing for my rather large deck to just have that nice glow, plus as safety on the stair rails.

Good:-Professional looking install-Housing feels durable, solid metal-Easy to install. Just drive 2 screws-There's a light diffuser/lens to soften the lightNot so good:-Not bright enough. Don't expect 1 to illuminate a pathway, you will need several.-Hard to believe these are 2 watts each (per the specs) more like 0.5w at most. I have 0.5w lights that are brighter.General info:-You will need to drill the surface to let the wire thru for a nice clean install.-These are about 50-70 lumens each. I've compared it with several lights.-I wouldn't mount them very high, probably no more than 3 ft if you want to illuminate a path. 1-2 ft is optimal.

These are very good lights. Easy connections too. Nice warm light and not blue or cold.

I ended up using these a little differently than other reviewers here. These lights replaced well lights that really didn't cut it when sitting in the stone around the firepit. So these were mounted on flagstone after using the drilling template and a masonry drill bit. They are secure, bright, durable, and have a much better aesthetic than what was their prior.

I replaced some old low voltage lights on my deck with these. What an upgrade. Works great.

This product only has 2 LEDs, so it produces a very low amount of light.The biggest issue with this product is the fact the cover does not fully engage.There are 3 small tabs on the cover that engage and then a small twist completes the installation.However the dimensioning is bad and the cover can not completely engage during the rotation.The product is cast aluminum, so I used a razor knife to remove a small of material from each tab and then I was able to complete the rotation.If you have a Dremel tool, it would be easier to grind a small amount from each tabs to achieve a good fit.I also added a small amount of lube to each tab to allow for a smoother rotation.Installing the base is easy with the screws supplied.It does have a removable rubber backing to aid in sealing the back side.For my purpose of illuminating the edges of a new deck, I would not recommend this product.
