Grace and Charlie - communication is key
4.75 starsI have read many of this author’s books, this one included, and was excited to have the opportunity to hear the words brought to life by Teddy Hamilton and Lidia Dornet as they voice Grace and Charlie. Grace is a young woman who is looking at settling down with a husband and having some children. Like many young women, they grow up being told to focus on a career and ensuring that their life is in order before marriage and family. The problem Grace seems to have is that she has no man on the horizon and her body is betraying her when she learns that she is premenopausal. Charlie is the man behind the bar who listens as Grace shares her feelings and the two fall into a natural flirtation. Charlie would be a good husband and father for Grace’s baby but he is not the type of man to be faithful to one woman man as he was burned in his past. However, there are circumstances that are pulling Grace and Charlie together. Can they make a relationship work between them? This is a slow burn to romance that will have listeners putting on a smile on their faces as these narrators work their magic.

Romance
I’m not too much into fluffy romance (I’m dark all the way) but this was really good! It was a he falls harder I think and I would’ve like to see a little more drama in the big part and more with Diane- but again that’s the dark side calling. Still enjoyed!

Oh Baby!! ♥️🍼🍻💙
This book was sweet. Grace and Charlie meet at the bar he owns and become friends before becoming a fake couple. The writing is good and the characters are pretty typical for this genre. They are likable and relatable, and her story of wanting a baby but not knowing if that will happen is real.

Wonderful, steamy small town romance
This book has become one of my favorites. Its clever humor, engaging plot, and spicy moments had me hooked from start to finish. Willow Winters' writing skills are truly impressive, and I highly recommend all her books!

Love It!
The story is fantastic! There are some grammatical errors, misspellings, and odd sentence structures that caused me to have to get out of the story to figure out what the author was trying to convey. Not too many, but it takes me a little bit to get back into a story when my focus gets pulled toward figuring out what the intent is supposed to be in the structuring.Editing aside, the story itself is 5 stars all the way. Not usually a fan of the “I want a baby” romance, but the author found a way to make me love Grace anyway.

"Say my name again, sweetheart"
I originally read this when it was co-written with Vivian Wood. It was some time ago because the book doesn't exist anymore. This book was 8 chapters shorter than the other version. But it got its point across. I think I'll re-read the extended epilogue next. Some of the characters have changed. Again the story wasn't interrupted. But I throughly enjoyed it.Charlie didn't know Grace wanted to be with him. And Grace didn't know Charlie wanted to be with her. I was literally about to pull my hair out. I wanted to scream JUST TELL HIM/HER ALREADY!! But luckily we didn't have to wait weeks or months for them to come to their senses.I liked Charlie and Grace together. They had a magnetic chemistry. They were drawn to each other. They were made to be together. I wasn't a fan of Diane (Grace's co-worker). She was an instigator and so very sly. Her demeanor was just ugly. This was an absolute joy to read. I was throughly entertained. I sincerely loved it. There were so many characters and I loved all of their interactions.

Wonderful listen and a swoony romance
Willow Winters can successfully write books that are raw and gritty, and also books that are are sweet, romantic and enchanting. Knock Boots is firmly in the second group - it's a pure romance, with two characters that you love and are just waiting for them to love each other, too. This is a small-town love story where Grace and Charlie are so meant for each other that the reader is rooting for them from the very first page. Grace is looking for her Mr. Right, and Charlie thinks he is looking for his Ms. Right Now, until he meets his match in Grace. They are both so real, so genuine, and so perfect for each other once they work through their issues. Willow Winters delivers the perfect amount of drama, passion, swoony moments and steam, all combined into a thoroughly enjoyable read. The audio, narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Lidia Dornet, is such a great enhancement to the audio. Great narration, a swoony love story, and just a straight-up enjoyable listen all around.
