A joy to read. A great teaching tool for the beginner and professional. The chapters are well arranged. With examples of images and explanation of how the images were shot. I have read all his books and learnt something no one else ever said. That is to shoot your fast prime lens at their widest aperture, that is why you paid so much for them. This book serves as a simple but effective reference book.

Great book filled with tons of useful insight. It helped me significantly in getting over the plateau I was at work photography. The way he explains the different facets of photography is both in depth AND easy to comprehend.

This book is filled with tons of great information without all the confusing and unimportant information. Plus I Love the authors sense of humor!

This is my quick reference book for anything photography. There are other books that cover in more detail about topics all which are great but I like the short lessons in this book. Fair warning, Scott likes to tell really bad jokes (goofy) I myself enjoy his humor but I have friends that don’t care for it. Scott has helped me with taking better pictures and his teaching is so simple and relatable to me. I can’t think him enough.

This was a gift for my daughter who is a part-time photograph, self-trained. She was very pleased with the book, had been planning on ordering it.

I love Scott Kelly’s books and YouTube’s. He is precise yet easily understood. This is a great reference book that will get plenty of use.
