Be sure to do your homework when you're thinking that you are going to do this installation on your own. The Microsoft Surface Pro unit was an extremely difficult device to take apart and I've been working with computers for 27 years. The Tool kit that the battery came with was very helpful. Do yourself a favor and order a heat gun because you'll need it to remove the screen.

the tools provide were the wrong size. they were missing a T3 that made the install a bit more difficult but I had ifix kit thankfully. just be careful to not damage the old screen, I did and had to get a new one.

I wanted a Destsing brand but label was placed over another no brand label. The battery is already two years old and their instruction said not to use batteries 2 years or more old due to chance of catching on fire.

Be sure to buy the proper tools, this one doesn’t come with the right ones to disarm the heat sink.
