Installation was a breeze but finding a working driver not so much. This tech is old and had to source one from Lenovo of all things. It now runs fine and connects much faster than what I previously had. I don’t use the WiMAX part at all and actually disabled it, I only needed it for the WiFi part. Used to top at 20MBsec now regularly achieve 70MBs which for such an old laptop is perfect.

works fine but difficult to install.
My old card came out easy after I found where it was located but it was very difficult to put back in. On my Dell XPS 8500 there is very little space between the CPU and the video card. I had to remove the video card so I could install the WiFi card. The little screws were hard to get back in but I finally managed to det it done. The card worked and my wiFi speed is now about 3 times faster. It is still not as fast as our other devises but much better than 2.4 GHz card was. The difficulty installing was not Intel's fault but who ever designed the motherboard.

This fits a HP Pavilion g6 laptop
The laptop had a Ralink RT3290 WIFI card since it was new. It finally quit working five months ago. The original card was likely to get a download speed of 15 Mbps and this one on 5 GHz bandwidth reached over 92 Mbps. I'm impressed with this upgrade.

Faster than the original
Replaced the exact same model card that had given years of faithful service before fizzling out. Speedtest measurements were about 50% faster with the same reliability. Seller was quick and product packaged well. Recommend 100%.
