Works great
Works on most things I tested. I bought these for a special request that a client had. They have rental properties and have numerous devices that are directly wired into keystones or into the back of smart devices. I tired a few brands of keystones with this product and found that it works some of the time. Test it before you punch down and install a keystone. On the other hand, it also works some of the time with devices like AP’s and the rj45 ports on TV’s. This product is really amazing when it does work. It does work with shielded plugs as well. Something important to keep in mind: you will need to cut off the latch on the rj45 plug per the instructions. You will also need the tool to remove this product from a port. It’s Tripp-Lite model: N2LOCK-KEY-RD. To be fair, even the documentation says it works on most things so I can’t complain when it doesn’t.

Doesnt Work
Instructions say you have to cut existing lock off the ethernet cable so I did.... then it wouldn't work... so I burned a 100 ft ethernet cable... Also does not come with the key... when I bought the key they did not offer return shipping.. totally shady outfit with inferiour product.s
