Easy to set up and use
Used this to replace a normal 3 gang switch - the only downside is it's very deep and requires more space than is normally found in a light switch back box.I used a standard 35mm single back box and cut the back panel out to create a spacer to mount between the new switch and the existing back box - it looks slightly odd but works !The smart switch is fine and works well with Alexa. It can also be operated manually as a normal switch.Very happy with it so far !

Uk outside light switch - this might help
I live in a 1986 apartment and was a bit concerned whether the wires ( see photo) would be suitable. Two red wires and two black ( which was in fact the neutral that’s required. The reds were connected to COM and 1WAY on the existing switch with the neutrals unconnected. I took a risk connecting but used common sense to work out the L and L1 for the reds and simply connected the black neutrals to the N ( obviously🙄). All worked perfectly for both timer and Alexa use - total time from start to finish was about 30 mins. Hope this helps anyone with this configuration and similar doubts. I highly recommend and dont usually give praise unless well deserved. 👍

Need a deep box and a neutral, a bit flimsy but fast voice response
This switch replaced a better looking Broad link switch in my garage that wasn't working reliably. It has a mechanical switch as well as the smart side which allows control from Google assistant and Alexa. The beauty of that is that if WIFI goes down, you still have some control over the lighting and unlike the glass touch smart switches which are prone to condensation in unheated spaces and often dont work in cold conditions because of this damp build up on the face plate, this one does. You need a deep box for this switch and the mounting is a bit flimsy along with the switch mechanism itself which really isnt that brilliant. It just feels a bit cheap and if you over tighten the mounting, the switch doesnt work at all. Its functional but its not something you would want to use regularly. That said, the whole point of a smart switch is voice control in my opinion so not really an issue. You also need a neutral so the WIFI connection remains active. Not a problem for me as I am using this in a garage so I just ran a new neutral cable through the existing conduit to the switch. If you use your phone and either the smart life or Tuya apps to set the unit up, make sure you are WIFI connected to a 2.4Ghz WIFI network since the switch detects whatever WIFI network the phone is connected too.Once set up, the switch is brilliantly responsive though via Alexa, I have no idea how well it works with Google. Its the fastest switch I have found so far. You ask Alexa to switch it on or off and almost immediately it does so. Its far quicker than Hue or any of the hub requiring switches I have tried so far.Reliability is yet to be established. But so far I am pleased with the switch.

Fail after 6 months
Worked well for about 6 months. After that they have a delay / sometimes dont work when you press them. Very strange. Stranger still, if i ask Alexa to "turn off the lights" it does so instantly. There is fault on the switch buttons. Have to replace these now with a better brand..

Not great
Purchased for use in a kitchen diner with two separate lights, one of which is a multi bulb fitting which makes using smart bulbs a costly option, so a wifi switch is more cost effective.Got this to replace a similar touch type wifi switch which broke at the mounting point. Top tip, all of these switches fit a standard back box in the normal way, with two screws at 3 and 9 o’clock, but the frame surrounding the screw points is usually quite thin and weak so while they do go into a 45 mm box, with the wiring in there it’s going to be a squeeze and those mounting points eventually give way. Simple solution is to fit the screws with washers, job done.First issue is that this was listed as not needing a negative wire when it absolutely does, to maintain its wifi connection it has to be permanently powered so there is no way around it. Not an issue for me as it was almost a like for like swap and the negative was in place, but if that’s the reason you are buying this then you are being misled.Setup is ok if you are used to Tuya/Smart life apps, you have to go into your router settings and disable your 5ghz wifi but after that it picks up the new device ok, name the individual switches (something unique, don’t call one of your kitchen lights kitchen because it will get confused). When that’s done the Alexa app should find it and you can control it from there going forward.Overall quality of the device is poor, cheap plastic and the switch mechanism itself is atrocious, really horrible to use, but at the end of the day it does work as intended so this will do the job but only until I find something better.
