Excellent Function and Reliability
What I like: Very sharp video, microphone pics up sound very well, human recognition mode nearly flawless and have only had two alerts to non-human movement in the six months it's been installed, easy installation and synchronization with the home base, great amount of options for customization preferences, very fast response from the time it detects until it notifies you (95% of the time), and it was a good infrared lighting system when needed.Issues so far after six months: I clicked the live view one time while I was out of town and then decided to click out of it and just watch the recorded video of someone who had left a package. It was taking awhile to load as I had spotty cell service where I was and so I clicked back out and then on live view. This confused the doorbell and it took itself offline. When I got home that day, I could not get the doorbell to recover no matter what I did according to both the instructions or a message board for Eufy. I decided to remove the batteries from the device (which you need a jeweler's screwdriver to do) for 30 seconds, and then I put it all back together. That solved the issue and it hasn't happened since. The batteries are only lasting about 2 months but my house has a very high volume of in and out traffic, so I don't necessarily think it's a issue, but just to show what the rate is, I have about 10-20 instances of people going through that door a day.I have friends with the other brands and no matter what brand they have, they think theirs is the best and that may be. However, I'm very happy with this system and have added other Eufy cameras to the system and am very pleased with them all.

Great Doorbell - No Fees
The Doorbell works great - so far, no false triggers. Easy to setup, good picture. Many great features. I like the fact that I have videos stored here at my house and not on a server somewhere else. PS: after a year I still love it! This a great product - way better than I could have imagined.

Just buy it. REALLY....
Great product! Eufy is taking this industry by storm. Smart folks- and I appreciate their customer-focused, legit, home security tools. I snagged this gem as an add-on at it's introductory price of $99, and it has exceeded my expectations! No more false alarms like the previous "well-known" brand I had! You choose the sensitivity level, of course, but unlike Ri *ahem* the aforementioned "well- known" brand, you also get to set the detection zones and types of alerts (human vs. all motions) desired. And it works!! Extraneous detections are filtered based on your preferences so that notifications aren't piling in when the random bird, butterfly, raindrop, car, etc. enters the detection field (unless you want them to🙃). The facial recognition is the crowning glory! I mean, we all want to know WHO took that highly anticipated Amazon delivery off the porch, right?! The two-way communication (to stop those same porch pirates in their tracks) is golden! Pairs easily with Alexa plus the HomeBase will "chime" if you want it to - so there is NO need for an additional chime (Eufy's add-on chime only works with the wired method-but unnecessary regardless) if you are operating on the wireless battery method.*You won't regret this purchase.*Familiarize yourself with the app, device settings & capabilities, and programing your security profiles (you can even reference articles Eufy provides in the app for helpful tips). IMO, this beats the heck out of the competition-all of them, and keep in mind, the occasional lack luster review could easily be attributed to users not maximizing device capabilities.

Overall Happy, More Pluses than Minuses
I had already purchased the eufy Security S330 eufyCam 3 2-Cam Kit with Homebase 3 and decided to add the Eufy Doorbell cam as well. Honestly, there's not a whole lot of detectable difference between the 2K doorbell camera and the 4K S330 camera's on my IPhone. All-in-all, the video quality in both 2 and 4K is excellent. I have not mounted the S330 camera's as of yet, they're just sitting inside the house in different locations until I figure out where they go. Since they're solar rechargeable, the way my house is situated makes that a bit more challenging than I figured. Anyway, this is about the doorbell camera. As I stated, the picture quality is excellent so 5 stars on that. Where I subtract a star, and maybe a second one going forward, is the fact that, although my doorbell camera is wired, the battery is discharging. I've had it installed for about 7 days now and I've gone down from 100% to 87% even though there hasn't been that many detection events. The battery icon alternates from continuously charging to a plug icon so I know it's wired. Plus, the mechanical doorbell is working when the doorbell button is pushed. I'm waiting to see if some kind of power management kicks in and it charges back up. The second issue for the deduction is that I was getting an error intermittently when trying to view a detection notification sent to my phone. I got an error that the video had been manually deleted or was corrupt although I had not done anything other than try to respond to the notification. Not really what you're hoping for if a baddie is on your doorstep. After it happened the first time, I removed the device and added it back. That deserves its own paragraph. I have also gotten notifications where there is no accompanying video. In the screenshot I posted, it shows one notification with the number 1 on the bottom right but when I clicked on that, there was no accompanying video of the event. This was right after a delivery.Ok, a couple design features that suck IMO. When I got an error about corrupted video, I removed the device from HomeBase and added it back. That required that I sync the device by pressing a button on the camera. So, where is the button? On the very back of the camera which means I had to unmount the camera to access the back of it. Oh, by the way, even though it's wired, it continues to lose charge. It will be interesting to see if the wired connection sustains it once the battery is depleted. I guess time will tell. If it does not work when the battery is depleted, I'll have to unmount it again to recharge the battery. Why? The charging port is also not readily accessible because it's on the back of the camera as well. The method for unmounting it is straightforward but I actually bent the key to pop it out because it was so difficult to pop the bottom out. That's kind of a good thing, I guess, unless you have to do it often. Bottom line, it would be nice if the those were accessible without having to unmount the camera.Despite these complaints, the doorbell camera integrated flawlessly with HomeBase 3 and set-up with the app is a breeze for all of their products I purchased. I added a 1TB drive to the HomeBase and I'm confident, assuming I don't have a recurring issue with events that are reported as deleted or corrupted, I'll be capturing whatever security events may arise in real-time.....for free apart from the purchase price. For now, I'm very happy with my purchase. I'll update again when I see what happens with the battery or if the event corruption becomes a recurring issue.Update: I added a third pic showing that the doorbell now indicates it's on continuous power denoted by the plug icon replacing the charging icon. After a couple of weeks I still give it 4 stars out of 5 because it's dropped from the wifi even though it's not more than 10 feet from the router. When that happened the eufy help message said to check the router to see if the device was connected but, there's no friendly name for the device on the router. It would be nice if the app, when looking at device details for each camera, would show the device's mac address so you can distinguish it in your router's device list. Yesterday, it did not notify or record a UPS delivery but it did record me picking up the package although no notification was sent. I have gotten them 99% of the time though and the wifi issue corrected itself. Still happy with the purchase and solid on the 4 stars.
