Fantastic media storage
I spent a great deal of time last year trying to find a replacement for our old dvd cabinet that was stuffed to overflowing and damaged by time, weight, and children/pets. It was of a style with storage both on the shelves as well as in the doors, doubling the capacity without increasing the footprint a huge amount, extremely important in our small home. I was struggling a great deal to find a replacement. Most shelving I was finding actually held considerably fewer. Most that were an improvement were a great deal larger in width, which wouldn’t work with our limited space. I found a couple of options that were essentially like ours, only with two stacked on top of each other, which seemed questionable to me given the way the doors on ours sagged and deformed over time from the weight. Then I found this! The amounts it holds almost seemed like overkill when coming from storage that held 250ish dvds, but the smaller ones didn’t seem like we’d be future proofing enough, especially if I wanted to free up other shelf space elsewhere from the video games (which I did). We went ahead and followed the recommendation to get a metal lazy Susan for the turning mechanism. We never tried the plastic one it came with, but we found it extremely dubious that it would hold up over time. It seemed way too flimsy and seeing what fifteen years of use did to the manufactured wood of our last case, it just didn’t seem possible that plastic would last. Now we’ve had it a bit over a year. It’s holding up great so far. The material for each individual shelf is thin enough I wonder about its longevity, but so far so good. The shelf with the Buffy season dvds appears to be sagging just a tad at the front, but this will be less of a potential issue for any collection that isn’t going back 20+ years with the greatly reduced packaging that’s become standard. The footprint was a bit bigger than I pictured from the dimensions because of the extra space needed for the corners to turn past the wall, but it still was within the bounds of our limited space. My husband assembled it and it’s been over a year, so I don’t recall how easy it was. My waving him at the reviews here was sufficient for him to put it together complete with the extra metal hardware, so it must not have been too bad.On an amusing note, it’s become one of the favorite spots for the cats. They all love sitting on top and the two smaller ones sometimes pretend to be DVDs and sit on the bottom in an empty shelf. Those two seem doomed to some disappointment in the future, though, as my DVD acquisition bumped up considerably once I actually had room again. That can also be attributed to the greedy media companies out there, who took a great thing in Netflix streaming and destroyed it, making it easier and cheaper to just spend $5-10 on a movie on physical media and not have to play guessing games over which service has what now and are we subscribed (and is far cheaper than buying digitally only to have the content yanked at a whim). If you have a lot of physical media and expect to get more, this is a great investment for long term organization. Don’t let renting rather than ownership of your entertainment become standard!

Easy assembly. Looks great.
Assembly was very simple and the instructions were very easy to follow compared to other shelving units I've put together. Item looks great and holds a lot of media in a small space.

Very convenient storage
Pros: Easy to put together; holds a huge amount of media conveniently in a small area.Cons: The turntable bearing provided with this thing is junk; it is not beefy enough to carry the load and smashes down and is hard to turn....the tower drags on the base and the top surface of the base is marred. I would buy this unit again but would purchase a beefier turntable bearing and throw this cheap little plastic POS turntable bearing right straight into the trash; do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

It’s Junk, don’t waste your money
I knew it was made of particle board, but wasn’t expecting it to be cracked on arrival. No problem, I got out the crazy glue and fixed it.Then I put it together, and got the shelves in place. I bought it because it could store a lot of DVD’s. Well I was wrong. They sent tiny, cheesy plastic brackets to hold up the shelves, and when you put more than a few on the shelf, the shelf fell down. So all that work and money for a product that doesn’t deliver on its promise.Do NOT buy this product, it’s a piece of garbage.

Secure the inner walls with a strap or bungee before adding top plate. Ask me how I know.
When you have built the center/outer wall subassemblies and attached them to the base, one of the last steps is to attach the top plate. The walls are not attached to each other. I turned my back to pick up the top plate and one of the walls fell over and took a large chunk out of the base. I added some screws through the base and into the wall as there was no material to secure the post anymore. They should have included a simple web strap or long bungee cord to hold them together temporarily. Also don't forgot to put the middle hook under the shelf. They sag easily and look like crap. Do get the lazy susan upgrade. The factory one is a flimsy piece of 100% plastic. It may be worth it, but only at half the price they are charging.

Revolving Media Tower Easy to assemble
The unit was easy to assemble except I had a little problem with the add-on lazy susan I found the video on youtube most helpful after that it only took about 45 minutes to put together

Love having all my DVDs in one place & accessible!
When we received the 2 boxes, and examined the pieces, we found one panel cracked. After contacting the company, the company sent a replacement immediately! My husband, put the tower together easily, but needed help to lift the heavy boxes. He also heeded the suggestion made by the reviewers to replaced the Lazy Suzy with one that that could bare 1000 lbs. I’m so glad that we opted to purchase this tower- it is very handsome & it is wonderful to have all our DVDs in one accessible place..

Purchase of metal lazy Susan unit recommended
Product holds a generous number of dvds. Based on comments from others, we purchased a metal lazy Susan, it fit neatly. Note that the unit does not use all shelves if you want DVDs to stand upright comfortably.
