This smells awful! It smells like deli meat! The best part is they won’t even let me return it!

Good quality coconut oil in a good sized container. I portioned it off as I not only use this kind of oil for recipes but for my hair as well. I live in a very humid area which is terrible on curly hair. It does have a not so pleasant smell but this is normal for organic coconut oils as I also get pure oil from family in Costa Rica and it smells the same. I add a few drops of essential oil into an applicator container and it helps. I’ve also used this in my Thermomix in a few recipes that came out nice.Quality: Arrived fresh and well before the exp date.Quantity: 1 large 51oz jarValue: good value for the size and multiple uses.Care: as needed.Recommend: Yes!!

We've used refined and unrefined organic coconut oils before. At times, it was used as a supplement to help our daughter with weight gain, as advised by her gi and dietitian. We still do use it as well as other oil varieties. This is a huge jar of coconut oil so it will last quite some time. Being refined, this oil doesn't impart a strong coconut flavor nor smell. This is great for cooking and baking where you don't want the overbearing coconut flavor. However, if you're one that's watching health, then this may be best used sparingly. We use this for many things, adding it to our own lotion mixes, as well as applying it directly to dry skin/problematic skin areas. We've also used this to treat some smaller wood cutting boards.Since this is such a huge jar, it will last quite some time and for different uses. We just make sure to use a clean utensil to scoop out what we need and close the lid tightly.

This Mementa Organic Coconut Oil melts in your mouth with zero coconut flavor, as it is meant to. I was truly surprised. I have never used a coconut oil that doesn’t taste of coconut. And while sometimes you want that flavor, often you don’t want a coconut flavor added to what you are cooking. This oil is perfect for that. It will not change the flavor of your dish in any way. Very cool.At room temperature, this oil is easy to work with and everything you want in a coconut oil, minus the flavor. Coconut oil has a lot of unhealthy saturated fat so I use this sparingly - you're better off with olive oil or even vegetable oil for everyday cooking, so this large jar will last me quite awhile. That said, it's great for making movie style popcorn and some desserts. However, I use it primarily for non-cooking purposes such as an anti-frizz treatment for my hair and as a moisturizer for dry patches on my feet. It's a versatile oil and you can tell that it's good quality, but I just wouldn't use it too much for cooking because of the saturated fat content.
