I have seen this pot in black ... script says, "mug, black" ... is this that black la cupola pot? thanks for the help

There is no black Alessi cupola pot. The 'black' refers to handle and top knob. . I prefer this pot to the Moka pot. I've had then all in both stainless and aluminum. They're both fine , quite substantial and make better coffee . Hope this helps. Didn't understand the 'mug' reference.

Does it work on an induction cooktop?

No, it is solid aluminum and will not work on induction without an adaptor. I tried. Had to return it.

Does this go on the stove or electric?

I have an electric stove, just fine. Works on gas stove too. It is a beautiful design makes a great cup of espresso, But WARNING...never ever put it in the dishwasher! Wash by hand, air dry, be sure it is completely dry before reassembling to store.

I cannot find the replacement rubber gasket for the 1 cup, not even on the Alessi website! Does anyone know of a source?
