Good Fit on the Lens - Nice Buy
This is a good lens shade for the Nikkor Z DX 12-28. I tried another brand, it wasn't a good fit. This lens shade fits very well 👍. It was worth the chance, this one works well. It's worth the price. 🌟 📷

Great sturdy hood for my Nikon D3200 Nikkor 18-55 lens
Most aftermarket lens hoods for the DSLR Nikkor 18-55mm VR lens are cheap plastic and they stop at 20-22mm so you end up with "vignetting" with your lens at 18-20mm. I carefully matched this lens hood to the appropriate 55mm Nikon lens hood product SKU and it works perfectly. This is a metal lens hood that is compact so it not only allows you to fully zoom out to 18mm and not have vignetting but it is solid material and easy to carry in your bag and attach. I have a Nikon D3200 DSLR I use and this lens is able to screw into a 55mm UV lens cover without issue.

Fits perfectly, looks great on the 40mm f/2, no vignetting.
If you want/need a lens hood for your 40mm f/2, get this one. Screws in perfectly. Looks great on the lens, all while protecting the front element with no vignetting!Highly recommended.

Works great!
The lens hood works very well at keeping the sun from flaring in the lens. The lens hood has thinner plastic than the OEM hoods do but it looks like it will last for a good while.

Perfect Great Fit. !
This is a great Lens Hood for a Nikon 28mm 2.8 Lens. Blends well, looks like a part of the lens , Protects the front element and keeps sun flair off the lens. Recommended for a Nikon 28mm or 40mm lens.

Not metal hood
It is a cheap plastic hood. I have many lens hood from this company and this is the lowest quality but they advertise as a metal hood.

純正品より機能的
純正のHN-40を使用していましたが、プロテクトフィルター(MARUMI EXUS レンズプロテクト MarkII)がフードの前側に装着出来ず、レンズとフードの間に大きな段差が出来てしまい不格好でした。しかし、こちらの製品はフード前面にフィルターを装着出来るので格好も良くなり、装着時の寸法もわずかとはいえ薄くなりました。また最広角側にレンズをセットしても、ケラレは認められません。唯一の難点としては、前面に2箇所小傷(画像12時と5時付近)がありましたが、実用品なので使っていくうちに傷も付くでしょうし、値段相応ということで納得しています。

Adequate
It was difficult to fit securely on the Nikor 40mm f2. One on it stayed on until it got knocked off. So... it's adequate....
