Arrow Handheld Satellite Beam 146/437-10WBP

Easy to use, Easy to assemble, light weight, East to pack & carry, Antenna forward gain is NOT the most important factor when considering this antenna. It is directional enough to operate all the current Low-Earth-Orbit AMSATs. The beam width is not so narrow that you have to right on the satellite to hear it, yet it is directional enough to work great for chasing hidden transmitters. The built in duplexer works great with a handheld dual-band radio.

Assembly and disassembly are literally about a minute each. ( I do recommend a drop of oil on the element threads for a bit of protection from galling of the metals) VSWR is low across the bands.... More than acceptable at less than 1.4:1. Built fairly rugged for a “ Backpack” antenna. And replacement parts are available directly from Arrow..... My only negative is the Duplexer, I would have liked to have seen something that could handle more than 10 watts! But that can easily be remedied by installing my own Duplexer.... The antenna will handle 150 watts..............

Just getting started playing with satellites, but this antenna is super easy to assemble and use. Works great with a Kenwood TH-D72A.

This antenna is amazing. I have tried a couple other products and this one blew them out of the water. You might find a cheaper commerically made product or a home brew item, but this thing is amazing. The gain (even though they talk about gain on the website) it is amazing. Very sensitive. Made numerous sat contacts within hours of putting it together.
