Sturdy and stable!
This wonderful little buckle works well with the Topo Design Rover Classic backpack. Cheaper, sturdy, and incredibly more stable, than the actually cheap more expensive side-clipped sternum straps Topo Design would have you purchase.

Works great!
Nice and sturdy. The buckles and straps are a better quality of the other sternum straps that I’ve been seeing for around this price for 2 or more. I have also been able to hang things on the strap as well to help free up my hands.

Great strap but adding instructions would be helpful.
I got this for my leaf blower which kept slipping off my shoulders. It's not easy to see but what's called a webbing holder in the stock photos can be opened to release the working end of the adjusting strap. Doing this increased the over all working length to 19.5" which makes the strap a lot more comfortable for those of us over 5 foot tall.

Challenging to mount
The plastic buckles that connect to backpack are sturdy which is good but which also makes them very difficult to mount if your backpack strap is wide or stiff. Have rather strong fingers and it was a struggle. Works as intended that put aside.
