Vitapointe Hair Gel, 8 Oz

My mother used this product on our hair when we were growing up. I wanted to use it on my girls hair but couldnt find it in local stores anywhere by me. I was very happy when I found it on Amazon. Both of my daughters hair texture is light, wavy, and thin. They are unable to wear their hair out because it usuaally end up puffy by the end of the day. I find that Vitapointe keeps their hair under control and not so puffy. Their hair looks so beautiful after it is washed and i apply the vitampoint. The shine stayed even after swimming. And the smell brings back some great memeories too. Great stuff, and I am glad I finally found it. They need to make it availabe in local stores again.

It makes hair soft and shinny

It is a great product and I will be reordering. I highly recommend this product. It is well blended not oily like some products can be.

I've used this product for many years and delighted it is still on the market. Moving to a rural area I had to find another source for Vitapointe and found it on Amazon. .Clairol Vitapoint Jar 8 oz. In my teens I had blonde hair and found this provided a lovely sheen without any greasy coating which brought out the highlights in my hair. Now I am completely "gray" and still find that using Vitapointe is still doing the the great job as it has for years. I still get compliments on my hair as it still has that lovely sheen. I would recommend Vitapointe to anyone who has not had satisfaction from any of the many products now on the market. A little rubbed into the just washed hair will convince you to use this product. Thanks to Clairol for keeping an excellent product available.

I have thick, wavy/curly hair and have tried almost every product on the market to calm frizz, add shine, make my curls beautiful, and make it smooth when I want to blow it out/flat iron it. This product does it all! Then one day, it disappeared off the shelves in the stores. I am so grateful to have found it on Amazon. Nothing compares to it. Nothing at all. If you have tried it all, give this a chance. It's fabulous. A little goes a long way. I have medium length hair and I use about a dime size or less. Yay Vitapointe!

This is an old product that's been around for a long long time but no matter, a tiny dab puts shine in the hair.It's outstanding for conditioning color treated or permed hair. Probably straightened hair which also takes a hit by heat hair tools but I've not actually done that.Have always bought it in a small tube. Since it only requires a tiny bit that was fine. Today Amazon only offered the economy size but at such a economy price who could say no. Hence, I've got a life time supply, which is fine.Claudia Strasbaugh

I was delighted to find Vitapointe online, since stores no longer carry Vitapointe. This is not the same product I remember as a child. The original Vitapointe was very light in texture, not greasy or waxy feeling. I would use it on my slightly damp hair, and it would eliminate my "frizzies" and my hair would curl into ringlets. This product contains mineral oil and bees wax, you can just buy vasaline, you will get the same results for less money. I tried a little on my slightly damp hair, and it did not "vanish" or make my hair shine, it was waxy and dull. I had to use clarifying shampoo to get this stuff out of my hair. I read where people have tried their salon formula, but I'm not sure if it is really any better than this, since they don't list the ingredients. I checked the maker, it is not made by Clairol anymore, some company named Idelle Labs in Texas makes this now, I will not buy anymore of this, I'm not happy with the change in formula.

The product was placed in my mailbox and when I opened the tyvek envelope, half of the cap on the jar was broken. Therefore the product was not tightly sealed - the cap was loose. It seems that none of the product spilled out into the envelope, and since I have the last jar I had bought with a tiny bit left, I will just switch the caps and will not return the product. I don't know if the cap was broken by the package being stuffed in my mailbox or during shipments or at the original facility. It should have been packed more securely so that nothing could be broken. As to the Vitapointe itself, I love the way it works on my hair! It is an excellent Creme Hairdress for fine hair!
