Love this soap!
I like the way it looks and feels in my hand. I like the smell and the fine lather. Removes grease and leaves skin soft.

Gentle for face.
Been using for washing face and doesn’t dry out skin. Everyone comments how young my skin looks and so soft. Use morning and night. No strong odor and lasts a long time. Hard to find now in local stores. So glad I found it on Amazon. Glycerin soap is gentle and pure.

Glycerin soaps are nice to use, lather nice, not harsh, smell wonderful, skin feels refreshed.

Good soap but smell "medicinny".
The soap works well as a glycerin soap, lathers reasonably well and gets you feeling clean but it does have a vaguely medicine-type odor which is a bit off-putting but doesn't linger after your shower. The blue version of this soap doesn't have the same odor.

Scent has changed . . .
I was excited to see Pears still available even though it's no longer made in the UK. The scent is not the same. Top notes of thyme and rosemary are strong and prevalent, but that's it. Missing are the softer, more floral notes like lavender/pine that made it so wonderfully distinct, and herbally mysterious. Still has a nice creamy lather and is non-drying on the skin.
