ONE R 1-Inch Edition Co-Engineered – 5.3K 30fps Action Camera with 1-Inch Sensor, 4K 60fps, Stabilization, IPX8 Waterproof, 19MP

I purchased this camera specifically for its ability to live stream in the 360 degree viewing angle (uses lenses on both sides of the camera) when it worked, it was great, however, over a short time period, it became inconsistent and then stopped live streaming in 360 degree view altogether. I contacted customer support which if I understood correctly, one person works in customer support that is able to communicate in english. This means leaving a message and they will call me back as soon as they can. I was getting error codes on the insta360 One x2, often. When I read the codes to customer service, they said their engineers had not ever received these error codes before but that they would get back to me when they had a solution. I also sent (by their request) video of the malfunction (I screen recorded the error codes and what would happen when the camera would not allow me to live stream in the 360 degree viewing angle). Tech support and the engineers did not ultimately offer a solution and I did not hear from them again. Because all of this happened within the thirty day return time period, I was able to return the camera but had to wait two weeks from the date they received the camera, to receive my refund (this was highly frustrating) and I also was not given the choice to exchange the camera which would have allowed me to be sent a replacement, right away, and return the malfunctioning camera. But this option was not available to me. A highly frustrating experience. I give the camera five stars because I really like it in every other way and it’s a great idea, great build quality, and if they can fix the live streaming in 360 degree viewing angle, would be a masterpiece. I still like the camera but will wait until they offer a solution to the live streaming in 360 degree. Also, to clarify, the many times I called and spoke to customer support (I would be required to leave a message) the same person (I recognized her voice) called me. So I asked if she was the only one that works in customer service and she said no, but that she was the only english speaking person that worked in customer service. Stating that if I knew their language, they have many customer service I could speak to. She was nice except when a couple of times she told me I asked too many questions. I’ve never been told this by any customer service, before. To me, it’s normal to ask questions when I’m trying to understand something and especially when I’m trying to find solutions. Also, it would be wise to mention, I had purchased the additional warranty offered on the insta360 One X2 website, I think it cost 39 dollars and provides a one year free replacement (one time only). This warranty at the time of purchase, was not available here on amazon. It appeared I was required to purchase this warranty from the insta360 one x2 website. Which it says one has three days maximum to purchase this free replacement warranty, from the date of camera purchase. I purchased the free replacement warranty and when I returned the camera, insta360 customer service told me that the free replacement warranty is not returnable, even though I clarified that the camera was still within the thirty day return policy and is not working properly. All that said, I still like the camera very much and hope to one day own one again. I will watch closely to see how the live streaming feature in 360 degree viewing angle is working for everyone on their YouTube videos and social media videos altogether. I used to have the Insta360 ONE X, but I always wished it could do more, like record in regular 4k and use an external microphone for better audio, and that it had a better screen with more options. Looks like Insta360 was listening 'cause they fused an action camera with their best 360 camera and a bunch of awesome features on top. Now, I can use my ONE R as a 360 camera, an action camera, or even as a vlogging camera with the tripod and external mic adapter. The 360 video is still very clean and the selfie stick gets completely removed with near-perfect stitching. One of my favourite features is the modular system that lets me swap out the lens with the 360 mod, 4k lens, or the 1-inch Leica sensor, which produces great quality video with excellent stabilisation. It's noticeably better than the 4k lens. I can even point the viewfinder screen towards me so I can see what I'm recording. The mobile and desktop apps are very easy to use in re-framing 360 videos and creating special effects. I haven't tested this, but the camera can also be used to livestream videos and as a webcam. Physically, the camera is very well-built and sturdy despite being made up of multiple parts. I wish the standard battery also had the mount built-in like the Boosted battery, but the mounting bracket is needed for that. I also really appreciate that it's waterproof out of the box without an extra case. I'd recommend the ONE R to anyone who wants to create or learn 360 videos as well as regular/wide-angle videos with a single system and carry less equipment. The package is great value.

Escogí este modelo de cámara de acción Insta 360 y no la GoPro 9 Black por dos motivos: Primero por su versatilidad en poder tener distintos módulos sin cambiar de cámara (módulos de 4k, 360 y módulo Leica de 1"). Segundo por la calidad de imagen que con el Leica 1" tiene mejor calidad que la GoPro 9 (eso si, siempre procesando las imágenes a través del propio software de Insta) ya que al tener un mayor sensor procesa mucho mejor el rango dinámico de las imagenes tanto en foto como en video. Si es cierto que la GoPro tiene un sistema de estabilización ESPECTACULAR imbatible, pero la Insta procesando las imágenes con su software solo se queda a medio paso por detrás,el resultado és muy bueno. Tambien hay que decir que el resultado inmediato de los videos y fotos en la GoPro 9 en condiciones de mucha luz és excelente y sin necesidad de procesar nada, a tener en cuenta. Para mi, la GoPro 9 es perfecta como cámara de acción (para hacer deporte extremo) por ser un sistema muy compacto y robusto, y la Insta 360 también siendo una cámara de acción yo la uso para trabajos en video de un estilo más cinemático que me dá más juego para experimentar con la imagen y la luz. Compra 100% recomendable.

Telecamere fantastica, attendo il modulo 360 al momento non disponible su amazon, per poter valutare bene la telecamera, al momento l'unica cosa che trovò non bene fatto è il stucho di plastica externo disegnato a mi aviso non conforme a la qualità del prodotto.

Beh... cosa si puo' dire di una cosa che ti ha deluso.... francamente mi aspettavo di piu' soprattutto nella facilita' d'uso e invece mi devo ricredere.... la Go Pro 9 su questa aspetto e' molto piu' immediata e facile usarla.... invece nella Insta360 ONE R 1-Inch Edition tutto e' piu' complicato a cominciare dal fare i video... tutto e' piu' farraginoso rispetto alla Go Pro 9 insomma a che serve avere un sensore da un pollice se poi per usarla ti devi impiccare....??? senza contare che si surriscalda praticamente sempre anzi no era sempre surriscaldata... al punto che praticamente on sono riuscito a fare praticamente neppure un video....

The Camera was not getting switched on with battery. It would however power on with the charging adapter. Amazon Customer care washed off their responsibility saying it will be resolved by instaone auth seller. The seller asked me to ship the item to them. Amazon customer service has gone down. The seller is yet to refund this high purchase amount inspite of item being picked up four days ago. Amazon has involved too many third parties leading to customer anxiety. Think twice thrice before ordering high cost items.
