New Balance Men's T4040V3 Turf Baseball Shoe

I play 30-over ball on a field that was recently transformed into completely artificial turf. I was reluctant to stop wearing cleats, because I thought I would lose a significant amount of speed and traction, especially on moist days. These shoes provide the needed traction to fly out of the batter's box, get a great first couple of steps when stealing, and to track down fly balls. They're also much more comfortable than cleats. They felt slightly tight out of the box, but they conformed to my feet after just a little bit of walking around the house. Lace them up how they feel most comfortable to you and don't be afraid to order your true size as you would for any athletic or cross trainer shoe. Did I mention they're comfortable???

The shoes come extremely small. We tried them on in the store before ordering. I'm normally a 10.5 to 11 and a 12 fit in these shoes. I ordered a 10.5 for my 12-year old son. These are good shoes. We are on second pair only because his foot has grown to an 11.5. They seem very durable, good traction and they look good. Remember, best bet with these shoes are to try them on at the store first..

First off, I only wear New Balance shoes, have been for many years, so I am pretty familiar with the fit (size 10 D), and quality. Was a little apprehensive ordering a "baseball shoe" (loved the look), as most of my purchases have been either training or tennis shoes. Noticed right off that these shoes are light and fit true to my size. They are also a little lower cut in the side and heel area than a regular tennis shoe but just and comfortable. I don't play baseball anymore, but will be wearing these to the Angels game this weekend!

I am a coach so the softness is ok. But if I was using them for turf or training, they would not offer enough stability.

The shoes fit well and work for coaching my kids...I'd recommend purchasing these as an alternative to simple sneakers because they help keep out dirt/dust which typically ruin regular shoes. great traction. I would also recommend purchasing inserts as they tend to be slightly stiff in the soles.

This is my second pair of new balance cleats and both have been the best pair of cleats/ turf trainers that I've ever owned! The only reason i haven't kept buying only these cleats is that i didn't always have the money for them but now that i do i will only buy new balance unless they change the quality and comfort of there shoes. Its like running with nothing on your feet but you don't slip and slide.

The fit was not as expected...I wear those for softball and they have blow away my expectations. Running around the bases feels like I’m running on pillows and I play in the outfield and I’m able to jump and fly on the ball perfectly. Highly recommend these shoes...actually looking for kid size ones for my daughter

I have EEE feet and finding comfortable cleats are all but rare. I tried these out and although they aren't EEE they do the job. Definitely wide and will fit OK for me I would def recommend to anyone else who struggles with wide feet. I mean this is basically the best option out there. I use for slowpitch softball as I am in the infield and these work wonders!

The shoe is nice and workable on the turf. I just found that its a little tight on my feet on the sides when wearing them. Perhaps my feet are a little wide as well.
