Ace Martial Arts Supply Sharp and Lightweight Kama Set

Much sharper than I anticipated! Also very light. I used these while I was training. So good to have my own set and to know that they are functional for real world use, if need be. Great home defense item

Very lightweight and sharp! It also seems very sturdy! Definitely worth the buy.

Very light weight. Blades are thin as razors and look like they were overheated when sharpened. Fine for gardening, cutting grass and such but a missed stroke caused me to hit a 3/8 diameter branch and it rolled the edge to the point its not worth the time to fix it. I actually like them just keep in mind they are very light and blades are thin.

These were bought for practicing kama kata in the dojo and are lightweight and sturdy. The blades are extremely sharp and these are very usable garden implements if you wish to use them that way. As these were bought for practice around others I ground the edge down some to dull them and slightly rounded the points to make them safer. It would be a simple matter to sharpen them back if need be. The wood handles are smooth but basically unfinished, so I lightly sanded them and wiped them with finish to protect them. Because of the extra work I put into them to "pretty" them up I am withholding one star, but they are perfectly usable as is. Update: If you decide to dull these to make them safer be sure to really grind the edge down to flatten it and make sure there are no sharp burrs or edges from the grinding or they will still cut you. Better yet, tape or cover the edge. ER and 7 stitches...

Very sharp and well built. I made a leather case for them. They need something to store them/cover the blades because they are nicely sharpened.

Firstly, the blades were already rusted on arrival. The Image on the handle is a poorly-applied sticker. They are attached to the wood by basically a metal clamp. And the mill marks are so bad on the blade that they look like they were done with a nail file. Also, it looks like they were too fast in the grinding process, because there are heat marks on the blades. Bought these for display purposes, and they look awful.

I just got my kamas today, one of the tips were bent completely sideways, tried to straighten it and it broke off.handles are cheap toilet plunger wood. Blades were sharp though. But hey you get what you pay for. Only good for practice but no actual contact.

Very lightweight and nice to swing around. The blades and wood seem delicate so this shouldn't be used as a weapon or anything as the blades would probably chip. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cool display piece, anyone interested in ninjutsu or just gardening usage. Can be used for kata as well.
