Old Fashioned Onion Chopper
this unit is awesome when chopping onions or other veggies, herbs, etc.

THIS TYPE ACTUALLY WORKS AS ADVERISED, unlike the squiggly-bladed ones.
This one ACTUALLY WORKS BETTER THAN it's retro original, ( at least FOR TOMATOES AND SOFT FOODS that used to smush a bit more with the original ) , which i had for over 30 years chopping anything from nuts, onions, whatever i wanted to chop without trouble. The retro original eventually had the pusher part crack so I have been SEARCHING AND SEARCHING for a new one of the same type. This NEW version doesNOT have the top-come loose issue that the original had ! This handle pusher thing is NOT as thick as my OLD ONE, and the knives part look thinner BUT that may be an improvement to allow it to bend under pressure a bit so that it does not dislodge the top part, and same reason for the pusher part. - and I am excited to have it. Looking at the reviews, it may not last like the original DID , but then what does nowadays.? I am so pleased with it NOW that i am planning to order them for presents to newly married/Christmas/ etc.
