Alpaca this with me every time I go out!
I was worried that this might look goofy on me but after wearing it outdoors at a festival, I did not care. It fit so comfortably and kept me so warm, I felt like it was the best investment. I like that my hands could easily tuck underneath and it was useful in different weather conditions. Very soft, and durable weave.

Absolutely worth the high price
I don’t give a lot of 5-star reviews, but this is excellent. Sure, $80 is a lot to pay for a garment with such simple tailoring. In my experience the smoothness, softness and texture of this serape is second only to cashmere wool. The weaving looks flawless. What little stitching there is appears to be well-executed. Overall, it has the look and feel of clothing made to last for many years. The sizing is generous. Laid out flat like a blanket, mine measures about 72”x42”. Worn in the usual manner, the sides come down to about my elbows. The hood is a little more snug than an average hoodie jacket, but fits me just fine. For reference, I’m male, 5ft 9in, about 175lbs, average build and wear a size large hat. Some reviews mention that the fabric is not as thick as the reviewer was expecting. My example is about 1/16in thick. It’s about as thick as I expected, and feels “about right” when worn.

Did Just What I Wanted It to Do
The item came swiftly after ordering. It was vacuum-packed, and the consequent wrinkles did not relax after hanging it up for three days. But a warm iron, with steam, got those wrinkles out handily. Wanting this for both warmth and panache at a youth camp near Yosemite, I found the poncho both light in weight and sufficiently warm on cool evenings, with a long-sleeved T-shirt underneath. Very satisfactory, especially accompanied by compliments from a few young people.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Ends are unfinished so be sure to tie them off!
Short Review:I love this. It is soft and warm. The color is beautiful... One reviewer said the ends were unfinished, and they truly are unfinished! So make sure you tie these off when you get them, click on the helpful icon for that reviewer's information and rock on! Also, Mine came with one of those plastic label tags stapled in the middle somewhere and hidden by the fold (it is on the inside). When you are unfolding this beautiful poncho, DO IT SLOWLY and GENTLY. When you locate that plastic tag thing, snip it off so you don't pull on these threads and ruin your initial purchase. Then, carefully remove those plastic ends and toss them! Threads/yarns are very easily pulled out of these type of items, and you don't want to end up with a damaged item! I've actually deducted a star for the curious placement of this tag and the delicate nature of this material. The two of them don't go well together, and it baffles me that this is how the seller is shipping them out. This isn't exactly a "traditional" poncho as I've understood (I've always had the hardier ponchos - where you can use them like a beach towel, or blanket etc.) This is a much finer item and is quite delicate. It can be a little difficult to maintain (ponchos swing around quite freely unlike other articles of clothing) and can get caught on things like doors or handles or whatnot. Just be aware of this when you're walking about. You can find the hardier ponchos (which I totally love as well) here on Amazon for about 1/3 the price. They are AWESOME!Hope this helps!

2 Years In, Still Great
We ordered this just about 2 years ago in November of 2021 to help keep me warm post-surgery on my shoulder. Can't put on a hoodie when your shoulder needs to remain in place or you risk popping out your new shoulder and crying in pain. And it does a nice job at that, to this day. It amazingly does a great job at keeping me warm and remains comfortable. I was worried it'd be itchy from the wool, but it is so comfortable I find myself wearing it more often than my favorite jacket due to the ease of putting it on and keeping it on.The wool is starting to fray in parts, mostly in the front, but it's not coming apart at the seems or anything. I often wear it when I'm doing the dishes to keep warm without getting something like a hoodie's sleeves damp. I have full range of motion plus keeping warm on my torso.I often find that I can wear a shirt, underwear, and this poncho, and keep warm (until certain temperatures) if I sit crisscross applesauce and have my arms tucked in. Inside of course, outside with a wind that wouldn't work as well. And outside in general clothing, it blows nicely and clings to your torso against the wind. I find keeping my arms tucked together like a Russian muff in the winter helps me stay warm against cold and windy days. And best of all, it's a great way to add layers that is easy to put on, take off, and keep more range of motion than most other clothing. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a poncho or to stay warm post surgery above the belt.
