This is a great tool to “measure/draw” odd shapes to cut wood for example. My husband is very happy with it. He bought a smaller one, but it was not good enough to work on the staircase he is building in the new barn. He said this is pretty accurate and it is a must have tool in any shop.

Mine arrived with rubber bands broken inside the channel. I'm not sure if it's part of the design.The contour fingers are very flexible too. I think this adversely affects accuracy. There's a bit more tension than needed and the fingers flex around as you try to measure. Not a huge deal on the floor but wonky when using without an edge to stabilize.Finally, there are pointed edges on both sides. I guess to slide beneath an undercut jamb. I think one side should be blunted.

We are installing new tile and we had some weird angular cuts to make in a doorway. This did the job and took the guesswork out of it.

I has been working on my parents house for the past 2 months. this save me a lot of time and materials. I used to measure every corner and steps when I was doing hardwood floor. The locking feature is a plus, it help increase the accuracy. however I do recommend you cut 1/16 more then the imprint,

Difficult to use. The slats don’t always line up so a carful eye is needed to double check the outline.

slightly difficult to use. The prongs do fit for each corner but it is slightly difficult for them to stay in place and for them to unlock.
