Okay, so just received the case. I already own a speck fit folio for iPad Pro and an apple smart case/cover (2 piece, no keyboard). I wanted something like the mart case but sturdier and lighter than the speck case.First impressions:Pros:* Weight- great! Much lighter than the cumbersome speck case. It's easier to grip and manipulate and I don't feel like it will fall out of my hand.* Cover closed- looks great. More professional looking than the apple Smart Cover. Yay, black!* The fatter spine when folded back makes it easier to hold with my left hand. Better grip* While some may disagree, I actually like the overhanging "lip." On the outside edge of the cover portion. It's a little excessive but I like that I don't have to dig my fingernail under it just to open the cover like I do with my apple Smart Cover. It also catches the edge of back cover when it slides around preventing the screen from being exposed.i applaud this design choice. Add some better magnets and I would pay 30.00-50.00 for this case.* Tri-fold seems a LOT sturdier than both of my other cases. The apple cover likes to collapse and the speck cover slides often in typing mode. I'm pleased with the magnet performance in this position.* Speaker cutouts are holes that match the speaker holes exactly. Better than the apple Smart Cover.*Cons:* The magnets are not as strong or present (coverage) as the magnets on the smart case. So the cover does slide around a little more easily. The middle section can lift up when closed and even more so when folded back. However as mentioned there is an overhanging "lip" that stops the cover at the edge of the bottom cover from sliding open completely. The sliding is a little annoying but again for 19.00 it's not a deal-breaker just yet.* Cover folded back- because there are no magnets on the two sections closest to the spine only the furthest flap sticks to the iPad. So if that comes away the entire cover will flop down. The magnet actually feels stronger folded back than it does in the com-lately closed position! The middle section will hang away from the iPad though if the magnet section slides so that can be a bit annoying. Additional magnets in the two flaps closer to the spine in the same manner that the Smart Cover from Apple works would have been awesome. Missed opportunity.* The back is sturdy but the right edge is soft so if you press on it with your thumb it will slide down and off the iPad bevel. The Smart Cover is actually worse at this though because it doesn't have the sturdy back to support the edges. I find that this is not a huge issue with this case and not as noticeable as with the apple brand case.For 19.00 I feel this was a solid purchase.Make the magnets better in the next gen and you can charge me more for it.

I just upgraded from an iPad Air. I have had several versions of the iPad, and it was time for an upgrade. I have always liked having my iPad in a case that covers both front and back of the iPad as I only used a Smart Cover on my iPad 2 several years ago and it bothered me when the back got scratched up. On the iPad Air I used apple's smart case. I got the case when the I first got the iPad and it lasted me through two full years of use. My wife is still using it. Needless to say, I was disappointed that Apple did not make a smart case for this version of the iPad, and to purchase an equivalent with their Smart Cover and silicone back was going to cost over $140. With Amazon's great return policy, it was no real risk to give this a try.I love it. It is a smart case, meaning it will shut off the iPad when you close the cover and wake it up when you open it. The magnets easily keep the cover closed when needed, and, they also keep the cover in whatever position you put it in when it is open (folded as a stand or flat). The cut outs do not block any of the speakers or other plug ins. It was designed well. It feels sturdy enough to last through at least two years of use.The only minor drawback is that I would prefer if the back were more rubberized. It is not slippery by any stretch, but it is hard plastic, which makes it durable, but I would prefer it to be a bit more grippy. While I say that it would be a preference, it is not a significant enough issue to deduct even half a star (if that were possible on Amazon).I am also a fan of the fact that the case does not add much in terms of bulk or weight to the iPad. Part of the resin to get a tablet in the first pace is because it is something light and thin for doing computing. Then we go and stick these huge cases on them that triple the thickness and double the weight. This case is about the same thickness as the smart case from the iPad Air. The plastic makes it a bit heavier, but not by much. And the price was perfect. I highly recommend this case as an alternative to the smart cases from prior iPad models.

This is the second one of these cases I have bought, the first for my husband. Now I needed one and having been so pleased with the first, I naturally went straight to these cases to choose a colour!Easy to fit, you just slip the iPad Pro in, no sharp edges, fits like a dream. Beautiful colours, this one to match the iPad, the first because I liked it. Holes all cut out beautifully, and protection too. What could be better?A bonus for me is that there is not even a tiny bit of leather to be found here. I'm a vegetarian and don't buy animal products unless absolutely unavoidable.So, highly recommended at a good price especially when compared to Apple.

Excellent cover - just what was required. It looks good and is easy to take on and off, for example if you want to attach a keyboard.

The case is really nice. I would have give it five stars but the colour was not gold as I ordered more like a light brown colour. It fitsvwell very slim and lightweight. Happy with the case just not the colour

Overall, I think this case represents excellent value for money and quality. It protects the iPad Pro 12.9" very well and the product is nicely put together. In particular, I like the fact that the edges of the case where the iPad secures into, are flexible enough to allow it to be bent slightly to allow placement, without worrying that it is going to snap or shatter, which has happened to me before with other brands of case. Once the iPad is in place, it does feel very snug & secure. It isn't too bulky either, so doesn't add a great deal of weight or dimension to the iPad.If I have one minor gripe with it, I would suggest that the magnets in the cover could be just a little more powerful if at all possible. On occasion, I have found that they do come away from their opposing pieces when they shouldn't necessarily do so but really, it's a small inconvenience on a rare occasion, that's all.If you're looking for a very decent cover at a very reasonable price, then I wouldn't bother looking elsewhere. I'm very pleased with it!

Like everything about this product from quality for the money, fit, and function. Only drawback for this specific item was the color that was more brownish/tan. Also the clear bottom is quite dark and the top much lighter.
