These fire starters work very well, better than numerous other types I have tried over the years. I heat with wood and occasionally need a jump start with the fire. Just one or two squares under a piece of wood and the fire is up and running again.

Perfect for fire starting in fireplace, wood stove, burn piles, or campfires. You only need 1. No smell observed, and they light up easily.

1st time ordering these but 4 fires in and I am happy with them. They are very dense and have a long burn time that helps a lot with fire starting. They burn long and hot enough that starting a fire with maple with no kindling is easily possible. Easy to break apart. These would work great to go into an emergency kit or overnight pack.

I love how well these little blocks work. I set up the fire, set the sttarter block in a central location of the fuel, preheat the chimney, light the starter block, close the door and walk away. Makes getting the fire in a fireplace or woodstove very easy at an affordable price. The only negative, and it isn't even that bad, is that the small blocks come in sheets that have to be broken apart by the consumer. Picture a hershey bar, but made of this saw dust and accelerant material. For an old lady with weakened hands, this is a task. I get it done, but it would be nice if the scores were a little deeper. Overall, I love this product and it works a lot better than the stuff you buy in the store for a higher price.

I've been using this product for about 6 years, it's extremely efficient, doesn't smell, claims and I assume is made from natural ingredients. Starts easily burns long, excellent fire starter for my fireplace.

WOW!! Best feature about these - made in USA!! These little bricks are amazingly simple to use and fantastic!! I supplement my homes central heat with my wood stove. That being said, I’m continuously gathering twigs for kindling. But when it has rained for 2-3 days in a row well everything is wet.
