This product was purchased for automatically regulating the water level in our pool. After installing it needed to be adjusted to maintain the proper water level. I am very pleased so far with how it is operating.

This pool float is a great product. It is a well made and easy to install. I had it adjusted in less than a minute. The old float always had to be adjusted never kept a consistent level. I give this product a 10 plus.

Installs easily. Adjusts from the top wheel. Took a minute maybe. This time I didn't bleed nor cuss the cheapie float I bought. Worth $48 with tax? Wife thinks so. Better attitude. So there is that.Would have given it 5 stars, but didn't come with a threaded nut and O ring for the male threaded end. Relies solely on plumber's tape. And the right number of install turns. Vendor spent another nickel, I tipped another star. Save the threaded nut on your old piece in case you need it.

Wow!! I’ve been dealing with swamp cooler water level floats, and swimming pool water leveler floats for over 30 years and they are absolutely a nightmare trying to get them set right. Especially the ones with the notches with a wing nut. The notches aren’t usually fine enough so one notch in either direction is two much. I would usually just bend the rod that the float is attached to, which sometimes I might have to do that a dozen times over several weeks just to get it close, until now!!! Where has this thing been all of my miserable life. Ok, I’m exaggerating , but I can tell you that the anxiety I used to feel knowing I was going to have to replace a float and the turmoil I was going to go through over the span of several days adjusting and trying to get it right is now GONE!! Any of you who have ever had a swamp cooler knows how irritating it is to have your water bill go skyrocket or water running down your roof because of a float that is not adjusted correctly. It literally took me 10 minutes to replace my old pool leveler float with this one (it would have been 5 but the old one was 20 years old and the brass all but crumbled when I tried to unscrew it) and about two seconds for the first rough guess adjustment, and then 3 days later another 2 second adjustment and voila, all done. Perfect. I can honestly say that this little float gadget has improved my quality of life significantly. In fact I used to hate dealing with float levelers so bad that I literally got rid of my swamp cooler. That’s no joke. It wasn’t the only reason I got rid of it but it was definitely a contributing factor. My recommendation is if you’re reading this review then you are trying to decide. Pull the trigger, don’t hesitate, if they were charging $100 for this thing I would still HIGHLY recommend it for function and value. As far as durability, it feels at least as well built as the 20 year old one I just replaced and that’s in my salt water pool. So I feel very confident that this one could quite verily outlive me.

Loved the idea of a simple adjustment for the water level but the unit started leaking after only a few weeks. i cannot make it stop running (even if i plug the fill hole with my finger, it leaks out the front of the unit)

I was initially put off by how expensive I felt this was since there were less expensive float valves available on Amazon. Well I learned the hard way why this one is more than the others after I bought and installed one of the others. I needed this to control the water level in my pool and the cheaper plastic one I bought never fully shut off and was a mess to adjust. I broke down and bought this one and it has been the full proof solution. I recommend buying this one if need a reliable pool, pond, etc. float value that turns off when it should, is easy to adjust, and is high quality. Money well spent.

Installed this into our pool after we noticed our 9 month old "torpedo" shaped valve continued to seep water 24 hrs a day. This valve is very easy to instal and even easier to adjust. Only had it for a month or so, but we really like the build quality and ease of use.
