I was hoping for a good, NY-authentic, 7 layer cake. But I was disappointed to find it unsatisfying. Being born and raised in the Bronx, I think I know what the standard is supposed to be; and have had some shipped to me from NY to my home in Virginia in the past; by other bakeries, with good results. This cake was delivered on time; but it obviously was bounce around, and all the chocolate frosting was stuck on the plastic container. That didn't bother me that much, since I was able to "reassemble" (ugly but still tasty). BUT, I found the "cake part" to be dry and not very tasty (it didn't seem fresh enough, even accounting for shipping time). Most disappointing, the crème filling between layers was almost non-existent. I will not re-order.

Order this for my brother’s birthday, always a treat.. everyone enjoys it!

Chocolate not as dark or flavorful as remembered from another source.

I was disappointed in the cake. The layers were very dry. Flavor were good. I had been looking in a number of bakeries for this exact cake. The bakeries here make the the filling layers with a dark fudge. I saw the mocha filling on this cake and was so excited about getting it. I had used them for a family function.

CRAZY EXPENSIVE!! $25 AND 6VERY SMA INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED CAKES.TASTE WAS OK BUT NO WHERE WORTH $25 I WOULD NEVER HAD BOUGHT IT BUT MY HUSBAND DID!!!
