Laser Stars Hologram Projector

I'd read reviews that thing this was pretty incredible, and I had conducted a THOROUGH search of night projectors before I settled on this one. I saw all kinds of crazy things in other projectors' reviews. "Wasn't nearly as bright as I thought it would be." "Light burned out after 2 months. Super disappointed." The laser projector industry clearer needs stricter regulations about what claims you can make on the box. Anyway, this Laser Stars Hologram Projector was different. All awesome. It was kind of pricey, but this thing was the only one that didn't seem priced too high to be unattainable or too low to obviously be cheap. I went for it. And do you know what? This projector is outstanding. The second I turned down the lights, my roommate and I stared in sullen silence at the bright green stars floating along our ceiling amongst a sea of soft, blue waves. We reflected on our lives and our choices, and we grew as people and as friends. I kid you not, even my cat, Lola, took a moment out of her day to stop and stare at the ceiling. This wonderful floaty green stars spanned the ENTIRE ceiling (and we have a pretty long one). When people said it was much bigger than they thought it would be, they just hit a home run slam dunk magic trick (i don't play sports). In summation, this thing is going to wow the living daylight (literally) out of all your friends. I just snapchatted a video of it to some people and EVERY SINGLE ONE replied back by text. That's how you know you killed it. Thank you for everything, Laser Stars Hologram Projector team. I look forward to growing old with my new lifelong friend.

The package was shipped in the box it came in, not a prime box. It looked pretty banged up, but the inner packaging is pretty well put together so I thought it might be fine. I turned it on to check it out (in the afternoon) and turned it off. When I went to turn on the light again at night, it all of a sudden didn’t work. IT WAS $100 AND IT DOESNT WORK. Also, it was pretty cool while it worked, but I wasn’t impressed for the money I spent on it. Called tech support and they didn’t know, so fortunately Amazon was very helpful with refunding my money. But I am very disappointed. I was looking forward to this projector.

Update: 1 year - and with timer that keeps use about 1 hour per night still working A OK. It is always complimented. Added one star - it will have to last a bit longer for FIVE ============ Update: we've run it less than an hour at a time (countdown timer) , most nights and for a little less than 3 months - it still works +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Beautiful but not clear if it will last...because numerous reviews do have the laser pooping out in days, weeks or right after the return date passes...IF this is still working in the next few months I will Upgrade to four starts...If it is still working this time next year I will consider 5 stars. Now...what is great - we have it in a small bedroom with a nine foot ceiling, it covers the entire ceiling as well as three of the walls, reaching low enuf so that there are "spangles" of stars even on the bed. The "stars" are green which I thought might not look so hot, but they really are beautiful. Some of the stars appear stationary while others move slowly about in random patterns giving a nice 3 D effect. As others have noted the "blue cloud" (which looks sort of like an all blue aurora borealis) is really lovely and IMO makes you feel like you are in fact gazing into deep space - the Magellanic clouds perhaps ; ) No real star patterns which would have made this even better. Mine does have the four hour automatic shut off and the "stars" and "blue cloud" can be turned on and off separately.

I love this projector. I use it while I give massages. My clients love it too and several of them have asked me where they can buy one for themselves. This model is the fourth one I have owned in about 16 years. However, if you use these alot, as I do, they seem to have a somewhat limited life span. But still totally worth it. The first one I got at a store (years ago) unfortunately it burnt out super quickly, within a month. Luckily it was still under warranty from the store and I was able to get a replacement. The second one lasted for about 5 or 6 years. However, it eventually burnt out as well. The blue light continued to work but the green stars (which is the main effect) went out completely one day. I wish there was a way to replace the bulb. I purchased another laser stars projector here on Amazon that lasted for several more years. However eventually that one started having a different set of issues. The green light continued to work but went out of focus so each of the stars had a fuzzy hallow around it (which kind of looked cool in it's own way). However, the blue light faded and eventually stopped working all together, and I really missed that nebula effect. I continued to use this for the stars even with it's defects for several more months, but eventually got this new one. So far this one is working really great and I can see some minor changes! The stars look great and appear to self focus very well, better than earlier versions. However, I have the impression of perhaps a bit fewer stars moving about. The motor seems to run quieter than previous versions, which is nice... I notice that you have to turn on the green and blue light separately. Before they would turn on together by pushing the button but you could regulate the amount of blue light by turning a dial. Now there are two completely separate control buttons. To me this change is not really an improvement, but not a big deal. One more change is that now it has an automatic timer that will shut it off if you forget. I think this is a good feature to prolong it's life, however, it can be a little annoying. I have had it turn off in the middle of a massage at times. If I have back to back massages I do need to remember to shut it off and then back on again between massages to prevent this light show interruption. Overall I really love this projector. It has a mesmerizing, relaxing and romantic effect.
