Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (Pack of 2)

Best stuff I've found out there! Amazon rated seller RAMBUTEN had a great seller price, great value, fast shipping. As usual, a little bit goes a long ways. I've used other thermal compound before and prefer it over the others. Two tubes will probably last me the rest of my life if I don't start building computers. Recently, my old but still trusty computer with an AMD Quad core CPU was heating up (gaming)... I mean REALLY heating up so I figured it was time to pull the fan and heat sink and clean off the CPU. I jumped online to order the Arctic Silver 5 because none of the local shops had any thermal paste, let alone Arctic Silver. While I was in the bowels of the computer I also decided to get a water cooled fan/heatsink to replace the older non-water cooled one. I cleaned off the CPU, applied the Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound like I normally would and installed the water cooled fan/heatsink and the temps dropped considerably. Down to a consistent 22 degrees C while running without a "gaming load". The initial "wake up" check is at 19-22 C. core. When I'm running graphic intensive games like BF1, BF2, etc. it's up there at those 26-32 degrees, depending what games I'm playing and how long I play without a break (BF1, BF4, BF3, Doom2, Ghost Warrior, etc.). The seller shipped it fast, USPS, It arrived on time but the box it was shipped in was huge compared to the package it was carrying. Other than that it was a great deal!

UPDATE: Real Arctic Silver 5 is excellent. Make sure you get the real stuff by ordering only from arctic Silver authorized dealers. This isn't one of them. I'm not saying this isn't the real deal, but this is not an authorized reseller. You can find authorized resellers on the Arctic Silver website. BOUGHT ON 02/2020 I remember when Arctic Silver first came out years ago, mid 2000s. It was impressive then, and it's still impressive today, keeping up with the best thermal compounds out there. That, and there is no silicon in it, so it never dries out. It gets thicker, but I've removed a CPU cooling block from a 2012 CPU, after the computer sat in a garage for over 6 years, and it was still functioning as it did when it was pasted 6 years earlier. The only down side to Arctic 5 is that although it is NOT conductive, it is slightly capacitive. Don't get it on any charged electrical parts, like motherboard traces or CPU pins. From the manufacturer's website: Not Electrically Conductive: Arctic Silver 5 was formulated to conduct heat, not electricity. (While much safer than electrically conductive silver and copper greases, Arctic Silver 5 should be kept away from electrical traces, pins, and leads. While it is not electrically conductive, the compound is very slightly capacitive and could potentially cause problems if it bridges two close-proximity electrical paths.)

I have used Arctic Silver products since about 2002. I have been through the interations from Arctic Silver (no number), 2, 3, 5 over the years. If you want your processor to run at the lowest possible temperatures (given Heatsink and air circulation limitations), Arctic Silver is the best by far. Heat is the great destroyer of computer components (HD, CPU, Memory, etc). Anything that reduces heat will greatly increase the longevity of the components. Adequate air flow should be the first consideration but when it comes time to transfer heat from you CPU to that airflow, the thermal compound (Arctic Silver 5) is phenomenal in that heat transfer from the CPU to the Heatsink/Fan and then into the airflow. Over the years, I have learned that less is better. The thinnest continuous layer (without air gaps) of Arctic Silver applied to the CPU surface provides the highest level of performance with regard to heat transfer. It can take a little time, effort, and practice to achieve that superthin layer but the results are astounding. I have tried thermal compounds from other suppliers and none come close to the superior performance that Arctic silver exhibits hour after hour, day after day, and year after year. As long as you do not disturb the heatsink relative to the CPU, you should not need to reapply thermal compound because of age. Arctic Silver 5 is just great stuff!

This stuff works well and has been widely recommended for years. It is reasonably priced and you get a lot in this two pack - enough to last many applications. Make sure you follow tutorials on how and how much to apply. It does apparently have a break-in period before it reaches peak performance which I noticed myself. I've seen reports that Noctua NT-H1 Thermal Compound - Retail offers better performance (were talking a degree C or two) and if I'd known that I would've just used the compound that came with my cooler.

I'm not a thermal paste expect by any means but the is my go-to for decent thermals. It's short tubes but they put a lot in them. It can be a bit of an effort to get the paste to come out. Technic over brute force. Slowly squeeze the tube over a piece of paper until it starts to come out.

Aproveche la oferta de 2x1 y la verdad es que estoy muy satisfecho con el producto, lo ocupe en un XBOX ONE X que sufria de sobre calentamiento y lo soluciono, tan solo me basto una gota de este producto para dejarlo como nuevo, sin duda habra mejores productos pero por relación calidad precio este va muy bien. El envio llego muy bien protegido por desgracia el producto solo llego en una bolsa transparente sin empaque original, eso si el producto esta rotulado con la marca. En conclusión si estas dudando en comprarlo hazlo con toda confianza, este producto es de calidad y no te decepcionará, si hacer overcloking habria que revisar versiones alternativas aunque estoy seguro que incluso esta pasta haria bien su trabajo.

Simply the best thermal grease on the market. Laptop running beautifully cool again and so too my desktops graphics card. Great value in this Pack size as well, but remember a little goes a long, long way!

Excellent product that came in a small package. It is much better than my stock thermal paste for my i7 7700k. I have been able to keep my clock speed stable at 5.2ghz whereas before its only 5ghz. The temp is around 63c when gaming it sometimes spikes up to 70 but goes back down to 63 within a second or so (Ghost Reckon wildlands on ultra setting, everything maxed, 3440x1440 resolution. ) Overall, I would recommend this item for anyone looking at a superior cooling when upgrading from their stock thermal paste.
