Easy to clean.
The grate was a good fit. It is almost as heavy as the cast iron one. That said, it is very easy to clean after using it. It also will not rust like the other one did. I would recommend it.

Clean but transfers heat poorly
Good replacement for cast iron, but metal takes longer to absorb heat so cooks differently and unevenly compared to the cast iron

Highly Recommended
I waited to do this review until I had fully put the stainless grill grate through all my different cooking methods (burgers, whole chicken, sausages, pork chops, cooking with my cast iron skillet, and indirect cooking). I bought it because I was never satisfied with the cast iron grate. I had another Weber Q many years ago which had a chrome-plated steel grate which I preferred, but it's no longer available.Pros: The grill heats up REALLY fast which saves on fuel and time. Easy to clean (it does discolor). It allows the use of my small cast iron skillet because it transfers heat much faster. The grill recovers heat faster after opening the lid and allows it to maintain a hot temperature even with a 15 mph wind. Lighter weight. Solid construction.Cons: Wider grate openings, but it did not cause any problems with burgers.A great buy and highly recommended.

Everything fits just perfect.
This grill grate is just perfect for my Weber Baby Q grill. With the grate, I ordered the grill support brackets and they insure a sturdy fit and support.The write up I read didn't mention the supports but I figured they were necessary. I'm very pleased with the whole setup.

UPDATED: Make sure you oil them before use. Hard to clean.
They're nice and sturdy enough, they do fit my Q1200 without the brackets. I just missed the part where you need to oil them first with a high temp oil (I didn't) and let it cook off before placing food on it. My bad. They ARE hard to clean, not sure if that's because I didn't oil them or not. I guess these will do what they're supposed to do for now, but long term...Im not sure. Just don't expect them to be sparkly like new after first use.Update: after 4 uses, these things don't look great and still incredibly hard to clean even with a ton of hi heat oil on it. I'd return them if I could...but because they're used, It seems I can't.Pass on this..I thought the original Weber grills were bad, this is a different level of difficult.
