Star Wars R2-D2 Bento Box

As the name says this is a bento box. In the world of bento boxes this quite large. Like many bento boxes it is not for the microwave or the dishwasher-it tells you that in the description. I wanted to give this five stars because it is without a doubt the coolest bento ever but it does have a few flaws that you be aware of before you decided to purchase this. It's true that like other reviewers have mentioned the legs that hold it together are difficult to take off but this does seem to part of the breaking in process...my third use it wasn't an issue anymore. The sandwich cutter doesn't work very well but the biggest issue is the rubber band (or gasket)...the first time it's a challenge to remove after that it doesn't seal anymore. This means you should use caution when opening the top...the seal is iffy. Still like most bento boxes it save waste since it's cleanable and you don't have to put all your food in little plastic bags. The bag it comes with isn't really insulated but it is nice for carrying and keeps R2 from getting too dirty in that community fridge or whatever. Many of my co-workers have developed severe cases of bento envy and even non-Star Wars fans (they are rare but do exist) admit that this pretty awesome.

The coolest bento box. Sturdy, just as pictured. By the way it tightens you know there will be no spills or messes in your cooler/bag. It comes in a black Star Wars pouch that can be used to keep extra stuff in, apart from just the bento box.Lost one star just because its too tight and the mess could happen when you are opening it. As other reviewers have said, kids younger than 10 probably won't be able to use this. If I could've just deducted half a star would be fairer, as with practice you do this easier every time.It is adorable to have R2D2 guard your meals, so we will surely be packing lunch more often.

This is super cute and unique and makes a great gift for a star wars fan. Not the most sturdy or durable material for food storage, but the Star Wars theme makes up for it. I got this for a fan along with some cute R2D2 measuring cups and oven mitts like a whole kitchen set. It was a big hit!

This was very difficult to open when I first got it. There was nothing to indicate pulling the "legs" out to open it--I was trying to push them up over the top latch. It's still difficult to open even now that I know how. Hopefully it gets easier with use, but I'm afraid to put anything that might spill and make a mess in it because of how much force I need to use (not pun intended) to unlatch it! I'm worried it will get thrown everywhere!

As a Star Wars fan I knew I had to get this to make lunchtime much more pleasant. I did however imagine receiving a larger bento box. I would say it is about as tall as a wide mouth Nalgene water bottle. I would not recommend for children because I myself had trouble opening this box for about ten minutes haha. I would say this is a decent box to carry around snacks but not necessarily a good size meal. Still love it very much!

I bought this as a birthday present for my 9 year old nephew. It was a huge hit! Seeing his friends gather around to check it out made my night. It was a little confusing to open initially, and didn't come with any instructions telling you how to do so, but honestly that was part of the fun. :) (Both arms pull up and out to the side to unlatch the head section, by the way) This is a great buy for the price and perfect for a snack container, although I don't think it's quite large enough for an entire lunch to be packed in. Will probably buy another!

This is a cute little bento box that my husband really liked. It is much smaller than I anticipated, not even large enough to fit a whole sandwich in. It is also pretty difficult to open, especially the top piece. We ended up watching a YouTube video to find out how to open it the first time. I wouldn't recommend sending a child to school with it or they may never get it open before lunch is over. Aside from that, it looks great and the novelty of being the only one with an R2D2 shaped lunch box is pretty cool.

Be warned, this is tricky to asemble. I looked up a YouTube video to figure out getting it apart. Neither my kid nor the staff at his school could really get it back together, although I got the hang of it. But then I broke it! The side arm snaps on with a small piece of plastic and one day I was rushing a bit and "SNAP." It still works even with that broken, but I'm definately not sending it to school now. Being able to cut out sandwiches in a circle with it is super fun tho!!

This is tiny, definitely not large enough to constitute a lunchbox. It'll hold some fruit and snacks, but that's about it.

大きさが丁度よくなんといってもかわいい。しっかり出来てると思います。父の誕生日にあげたところ大変喜ばれました。ただ腕の部分が外す際に固く、折れるのではないかと思いました。中身がこぼれず良いですがコツがいりそうです。
