It works but there is no indicator that you've pressurized it well enough. It's hard to know if this really does a good job or not.

It does preserve the wine to some extend. It works best when the stopper & wine rim are dried before pumping.

Portable, Lightweight, Simple, It Just "Works," and Cheaper than Losing a Half a Bottle of Good Wine
This product includes one vacuum pump and two stoppers. I'm glad it has TWO stoppers (rather than just o, for those times when I might have TWO different bottles of wine left over to be enjoyed for another day. It's also portable and manual (not electric or battery powered) so you could take this on a picnic or camping trip and use it easily.My initial concern about wine vacuum pumps was that they might not actually TAKE a vacuum ... well, this one actually does take a vacuum inside the bottle.The process of using this pump is straightforward and simple. Just insert the stopper into the top of an opened bottle of wine. Hold the vacuum pump securely onto the top of the stopper, and pull the handle of the vacuum pump UP to pull out air from the wine bottle. Depress the pump handle DOWN, and then UP again to remove more air.When you have removed as much (wine spoiling!) air as you can, simply remove the vacuum pump from the top of the stopper, which is now "vacuum sealed" onto the top of the wine bottle.The pump is of relatively small volume, so you'll want to pump the handle several times to pull the air out of the wine bottle. When I tried this, I was surprised at how much air I could actually pull OUT of the bottle.The vacuum pump is made of lightweight plastic, adequate for the job at hand, but don't leave this on your kitchen chair and sit on it, it will probably break.When you're ready to drink the remaining wine, simply pull up the small silver valve on the top of the stopper, which easily releases the vacuum in the wine bottle, and then pull the stopper out of the wine bottle. You can use the stoppers and the vacuum pump over and again, of course.

Eh, doesn't really work.
I love the idea of being able to keep wine fresh for more than a night, but so far I haven't found any vacuum pumps (this one or others) that actually work. You can use this pump until your arms get a workout, but the vacuum seal is dainty at best, and the wine still goes bad. I would love to know if anyone has found one of these (of any brand) that actually works.

After pumping several times, it is hard to know if the bottle is sealed or not. Most of the time when I pick up the bottle next time, the seal is not secure. I like the Rabbit brand pump better.

Does the Trick at a Great Price!
I have been using a vacuum wine pump for many years. Just recently the one I had gave out and I needed a new one. I chose this one because it seemed like a nice design at a great price. I also liked the two stoppers included. My old one only came with one and often two are needed...especially after having dinner guests with more than one kind of wine served. This little vacuum wine pump does exactly what it says it will do. When I am the only one drinking from a certain bottle it may take me 3 nights to finish. This pump makes the third night's wine taste as good as the first night's! It's extremely easy to use and stores away easily in the kitchen drawer. No need to ever throw out left over wine...it makes me sad to think about it! :( Couldn't be happier with this product...highly recommended!

Doesn't work for me!
Despite all the positive reviews, I find this Wine Preserver TOTALLY ineffective in removing air from an opened wine bottle. These stoppers are much more elegant looking than the ugly rubber ones, however.

The wine pump is exactly for I've been searching for!
I enjoy drinking wine and I always look forward to sharing my wine with family and friends whenever we get together. There are times when I want to enjoy it during lunch or dinner, and I am afraid that the remaining wine in the bottle will become undrinkable. That's the reason I decided on buying the Yvento vacuum pump. You are able to re-seal the bottle with one of the stoppers that come with the pump, which removes the air, and you're able to store the bottle for future enjoyment. With this process I've found that the wine keeps the taste for three days (I've not longer). It is super easy to use. It arrives packed in a carton box, in which you can put it back with the stoppers to use it the next time.
