This product has always been very superior in my opinion for cleaning and protecting metal antiques and plated items. It still gives a good value, but doesn't last as long as it used to because for some reason they stopped sealing the cans. It's shelf life is now diminished and if you don't get it from a source that has a quick turnover it can go dry in the can. I wonder if this is an attempt at "planned obsolescence" in this industry, forcing turnover and making product less useful in the long term.In any case it's still a good product, I'm just going to next time look for one that sits better on the self, as I don't use it fast enough to ensure it's properties without secondary sealing of the product. The last batch I got had all loose topped cans, and were pretty dry from sitting or lessed content. Once it's dry it's worthless. Our local hardware store had some on the self, dry as a bone.

It works, but color of product now a whitish and texture of cotton different too. Not as densely packed with the yellowish chemical it had before. Product change or fraudulent item?

This is the original Magic Wadding polish for brass and other metals. Needs a bit of elbow grease but leaves no pasty residue. Very effective and wipes clean.
