StudioFX 10x20 ft Muslin Backdrop 100% Cotton Photography Photo by Kaezi Photo (Black Muslin - 10ft x 20ft)

We don't do a lot of studio work. This backdrop was placed in a spot where there wasn't any light behind it. Worked well and will keep it. It definitely is a COTTON backdrop. I purchased the 10x20, turned it sideways and gathered it to look more draped and to avoid the wrinkles in post editing. You will want to spray it with water and tumble in the dryer to get the hard folds out of it.

Nothing to complain about except the wrinkles, need a steamer for quick wrinkle removal once hung, it's also a lint magnet, none of which is a fault of the product, it's the nature of the beast. If I thought I would use it more frequently and money wasn't an issue I would go for paper instead. The 20 ft is long enough to get some separation of your subject from the background, good for avoiding shadows cast onto the background and keeping the background out of focus if need be. I hang this on the inside of my garage door using a few $.99 clamps from the hardware store. My first use case is attached for anyone interested. I included an un-edited photo where you can see the setup of the backdrop and a few of the final images.

It is light weight, but easy to set up. Fighting with the size of the Muslin is a challenge- but it definitely does the job.

Good quality and affordable

As long as the cloth is not backlit, it performs well. I use mine for a pipe-and-drape display setup and it worked.

Significantly more transparent then my other cloth and paper back-drops. In fact, I got embarrassed and disparaged when my director of photography saw what I had purchased.

This worked great for a pinch phoo shoot. It's a little long so bet thing to do is fold it under on the ground. Good solid material

Using this as covers over the windows at my studio to keep the cold out. So far working pretty good. If you were using it for it's normal purpose it'll probably work just as expected because it looks similar to my greenscreen Muslin but Black.
