nice bread
This bread is tasty, not dry like some breads, I wish the loaf was more bigger, it makes a great sandwich, although you don't want to use it to make a club sandwich cause the slices are to thin, but all in all it's a great bread, i keep buying it when i run out.

It’s delicious toasted with butter and the small loaves are easy to store.
Monks’ Bread was commercially available when I was a child decades ago. It was a treat back then. At some point it disappeared from store shelves in Chicago. I was thrilled to find it online. It’s the best toast!

Delivered 10 days after ordered & shipped
How can bread be delivered 10 days after being shipped? It has to be stale.

White bread not as I remembered
Ordered white bread. The flavor, shape and texture has changed over the years. Not as I expected or remembered.

A childhood comfort food rediscovered. Made with love and prayer.
Growing up in a German farming community there was an abundance of home made bread. My mom would buy Monks Bread a couple times a month. I remember how much I enjoyed that bread. Finding again now 60 yrs later I am overjoyed. I love the idea that it is made with love and prayer. My purchase helps support the monks. This may be why it was a comfort food then and is now.
