Best type of pitcher I’ve been using for 18 years!
I really like this type of pitcher. This is my 3rd one. I am still using the first 2 I bought over 18 years ago! I love the thick glass walls and bottom of it. I pour hot coffee directly in without prepping it, but only if the pitcher is room temp already, not cold. I do not take a pitcher that has been in the fridge and pour very hot liquid in it. In that case, I recommend using your faucet water to warm it from cold to tepid at least, then it’s ready for hot liquid. However, I would not try pouring boiling water in one of these pitchers without at least first acclimating the pitcher with very hot water. Ok, enough about temp.I have found that these are wonderful pitchers for keeping any type of liquid in them. I even keep my home-made Kahlua in one with the pour-top on all the time until next batch. I have found these pitchers to be the most durable ever, taking knocks from accidental banging them on granite tops, etc. and I’ve never caused so much as a tiny crack in them. And, they’re pretty enough to go from fridge to table for any type of gathering. However, of course put something underneath your pitcher to absorb the condensation that is sure to occur from cold/iced liquids in your pitchers. I usually use decorative pot-holders either alone or with a doily- type cover. I’ve even put my pitchers on beautiful cast-iron trivets with a folded solid colored cloth underneath, or something more decorative underneath depending on the occasion. Those are just ideas of what I’ve done. These pitchers are made strong enough to go on picnics too. As for cleaning stains out of the glass, I use Bar Keepers Friend (a non-abrasive but powerful powder cleanser). I use the cleanser with a combo nylon scrubber on one side and sponge on other. I don’t use a lot of “elbow grease” force when cleaning so as to not scratch my pretty pitchers, even though that shouldn’t happen given with what I use to clean them. I just don’t want to take that chance. As far as the hard plastic pour tops, after 18 years of taking them off for mild cleaning between pitcher-fulls, just 2 months ago, one of the tops finally cracked along the edge on the very top rim. I used a clear type of super-glue made for plastic and it’s been fine since. I have 2 types of plastic tops that came with each pitcher. I prefer the newer tops that have a strainer pour on 1 side and a regular pour on the other - so if you want your OJ strained, you just turn the top until strainer is lined up with the pitcher spout, or use the regular pour to block pieces of ice - it’s terrific! These pitchers have been the most sturdy I’ve ever had. Mine don’t leak when pouring, but it would if pitcher is turned on its’ side or upside down. Just use your noggin’ and make sure when transporting these pitchers with liquid in them, that they’re stored in their upright position (and supported enough to stay that way).I give these pretty pitchers 2 thumbs up! :)

Fits well in Fridge and holds a lot!
Ok. I have probably bought 10 of these over the last 10 years. That would seem to be a bad sign, and a good sign. The Good:they hold a lotThey have no handle and fit well in the fridge. This is huge if you just want something that works! They are relatively cheapThey hold up.They look sleek and go well with nice and everyday. The Bad:They are a little delicate. No stirring with metal utensils,if you go from really hot to really cold they crackThe Lids do not fully seal and after a short while are not great for pouring.Bottom Line is that I have not found a pitcher that does these things, generally when you go big there is a handle which is hard to handle and takes up a lot for fridge space.

perfect fit
At first I thought this pitcher would be way too small based for my cold brew addiction on some reviews I was wrong; I make 2 qts of cold brew at a time and I don't have an issue with this size. I love that this pitcher doesn't drip when pouring and is made of thick glass. My family loves the slim design which fit inside the refrigerator door.

Correct dimensions
I thought someone may want to know what size this really is. It seems to have the incorrect dimensions on all of the websites that I checked...and clearly the stated 13.3 x 11.4 x 11.4 inches is WAY too big to be only 1.5 qts so here it is...CORRECT DIMENSIONS (Approximations)Height - 10 1/8 inchesWidth - 3 1/2 inchesDepth - 4 3/4 inchesDepth (including handle) - 6 1/4 inchesSince this item was too tall to fit in my microwave (for sweet tea) I am returning it. Therefore I cannot give a review on how it functions, but the overall look seems to be a fairly nice glass option. The handle feels very secure and well balanced. There is also plenty of room to fit your hand around it without touching the pitcher itself.Lid is okay, looks like a standard plastic lid. Nothing special, not air tight, but seems secure enough. This seems to be a attractive pitcher to serve things in, but my biggest problem with storage is that it is kind of tall for the size of the base. While it is perfectly stable on a table, it does tip around more than I would like in my refrigerator door. For these reasons I decided to go with the Frigoverre Glass Pitcher instead. It is superior in functionality and goes great in the microwave, fridge and freezer! It has recently dropped in price too and is now a comparable option.

This is my favorite pitcher
My previous one like this broke because I dropped it. Regardless, I really like it and I think it’s good quality. I love the way it looks.

About the 9th one
This is about the 9th one of these I've owned. I haven't found anything better for making brewed tea in. Handle is secure on the body of the pitcher. Fits nicely into my fridge. I really should change the review title to "11th" because I just ordered 2 more. I usually brew 5 of these full of iced tea every weekend and they're all gone by the next weekend. I stupidly put these pitchers under an open cabinet door, from which a heavy, hard item fell and chipped one of my beloved tea pitchers because I was baking cookies and needed their usual place on the counters. So, I just ordered 2 more of these pitchers. One will replace the one I chipped- and a spare to pull out when I let an accident take one out of service ! These are the absolute best. Don't even think about buying the one that looks similar but doesn't have the handle. I tried that because it was available at my local grocery store. Within one week I had donated the one without a handle and ordered one of these you see in the photo.

Great little jug for kids
This jar was perfect for my kids to pour their own water with. The glass is thick and it works well. The lid doesn’t come off when they use it so it doesn’t spill. The only downside is when you turn the lid to the closed position it doesn’t actually seal the water from getting out. I didn’t find that to matter much.
