Very happy and impressed!!!!
Since I read all the reviews for this seller I became a little worried about the device I ordered. The CD player arrived before the delivery date. I bought one exactly like the one I had, which was a 300 CD exchanger. Sony no longer sells this type. I hooked the exchanger in place of the one I had and it worked wonderfully, I was extremely pleased. the outer casing was in very good shape as well. I also received a pack of audio cables and a remote. Since I had one I had the original remote for the device. The seller stated the item just as it was. I appreciate that and if I had to I would buy from them again.

Sloppy repair of the unit
Product did not work well from day one and then stopped, all within 2 weeks. It came without instructions. The remotes contacts were rusted so it did not work. The unit was wide open when it came. Dirt inside? Old programs were left on it so without instructions it took awhile to remove them so I could play my CDs. I like to support small companies but not this one. Sloppy work repairing this used unit.

Wonderful!
My Sony 200 CD jukebox, had begun skipping irregularly when playing CDs. Scratches had nothing to do with skipping. The unit itself was 17 years old at the time I undertook a fix/replacement. I took my unit to a local repair shop and was told it needed a new reader/laserhead, but could not be repaired because the shop was unable to find and buy new laser heads. (More COVID lies/BS courtesy of our government?) So, I found this Sony 300 CD jukebox in a “renewed” condition, w/an original remote control, and it works fine.

Mega "Juke Box" CD Player
I already owned two of these players, so I thought I knew what I was ordering. I use them to shuffle through many individual pieces at random in a given category, i.e., jazz, pop,Christmas, Hawaiian, etc. and play them through a whole-house (and garden)hi-fi system. Each player provides 8 self-assignable "categories" of music. By the time I discovered that 16 categories was not enough, the price had risen to more than I was willing to pay for another player. When I found this used one on Amazon for a reasonable price I bought it. I thought they were infinitely stackable, but found that only two can be stacked. Fortunately, I was able to connect #3 through the "Auxilliary" input of my amplifier. I can label each CD so that its title shows up on a screen on the player. The instructions say that you can plug a computer keyboard into the player to type the labels, but one is not supplied and I have yet to find one of mine that works. There are many other features, such as fade up/down and other programming. I expect this unit to provide the same reliable service as the ones I have bought in the past.

Excellent refurbishment
We received this player over a month ago. We have enjoyed it 15+ hours every day. Occasionally, a disk has gotten "stuck" and stutters/repeats (like records in the old days). This has always turned out to be a dirty or scratched CD. The player came double-boxed and very well packed. This tech / merchant cares and knows what their doing. Even with music streaming readily available, my wife prefers her CD collection to bickering with Alexa. ;) We are quite satisfied with our purchase.

Stopped working within 2 weeks
It was well-wrapped and arrived looking good. We set it up and tried it out. Worked OK. Then within 2 weeks it started working as expected. It will search for a disc, load it, start playing - then stops in the middle of the song. We tried selecting another song on the disc - did the same thing. Tried selecting specific discs - starts playing a song but stops in the middle of the play. How do we send this back and get our money returned?

This is a "OLDIE-BUT GOODIE!!" Thank U Engin #9
Our old CD Player died some years back and these players are no longer manufactured! So, finding a good seller, with a new CDP-CX355, was a challenge! The player arrived in, OMG, New Condition. We loaded it up with 300 CD's and have been filling our home with quality music 16 hours a day. Thank you Engin #9 👏👏 You are the best ever. I believe that Sony made a huge mistake in stopping production of a very good CD Player. It has all the functions needed and then some... I highly recommend this Sony CDP-CX355 if you can find one. I am looking to purchase a second one and keeping my eye out to make that happen, sooner than later!!

"Time for bed" said Zebedee; but I really couldn't go yet, as I needed to see what random track was going to be played next. It is hard to explain why such a juke-box enhances your CD collection, as they're only your own records after all, but it does! This really does change the way you listen to music. I've had the unit for less than 24 hours, and have not had any of the problems stated by some users of ALL different makes of such units. No skipping. No jamming. No clunk-click. The unit is big and the manual small; both in size and font. It did not describe how it was designed and what the big coloured light in the centre (blue/green/amber) represents. I guess there's a Dalek in the middle that does all the work. Nor does it make clear when it is referring to front panel or remote control buttons, which work differently to each other. However, compared to most remotes, it is mercifully simple, and the Play/Stop/Pause buttons are large and visible; a joy to the over 45's. What the manual does not make clear is how simple the beast is to operate. Writing Group Labels (8) or Disc Labels (300) is so simple with either the Jog-Shuttle or the Remote, that I didn't bother to connect the PC keyboard. I can see that more Groups and multiple cross-referencing is desirable, but is only whining in the face of such an asset. Once I binned the manual, it was so easy to program. When I was listening to Shuffled "World Music" I realised that my CD of "Asian Underground" should really be under "Techno/Dance". Two clicks and it was done. Loading the carousel was so simple. A big door in the front opens, and you stack them like an old slide projector. The delete facility makes your collection more listenable. Brief non-music tracks or just gruesome tracks can be omitted. Eminem's cussing or Pink Floyd's "Several creatures..." are not in my playlist. With the jog-shuttle you can speedily select any CD and any track. You can play sequentially or randomly across one disc, one group or all CD's. If you are listening to a random selection and like the track, then you are just a coupla clicks away from hearing the rest of the CD. So you're listening to your "Punk & Rap" selection when that girl you fancy bangs on the door. "Classic" - Click!. You open the door to the sounds of Elgar's Nimrod and tell her how spiritually uplifting you find it. Next time she comes around you'll have the 36 panty-dropping tracks lined up ready to go. I loaded and named 100 CD's in 3 hours, including popping them in a database and playing some tracks because I couldn't wait. Sure I could do the track listings, and build my own hitlists, but I just wanna hear my music. I can't compare this to other such units as this is the only one I've had. It's gonna be a while before I watch TV again. Anyone want to buy 300 crystal CD cases? 5 years on: In a world of i-pods, I'm still using this unit. Firstly, once you have loaded your CDs into the i-Pod, then you have to put them somewhere. Why put your CD music into compressed files on an i-pod then feed them into your stereo with an audio cable, when you can paly the unadulterated CD files via an optical cable. Watch this space for my 2014 missive!

La commande a été reçu rapidement, l'appareil a été branché a un autre sony cdp-cx355 pour plus d'espace de stockage. Je peut donc mettre tout mes cd a un seul endroit mettre le tout en marche et écouter ce qu'il me plaît 😊😊

OK so its pretty big, but then a shelf for 300 CD's takes up far more space. It works wonderfully well, seems to be well put together like most Sony gear and is very easy to set up and use. I know that the fashionable thing would have been to buy a high capacity hard drive solution, but two friends of mine have done this and can only play most of their CD's through it - not all of them. This unit plays all mine and has also become a bit of a conversation piece. The sound quality is very good indeed and for 170 quid I think this was a real bargain.

I had two goes at buying reconditioned or as new from the amazon market place to try and save a few pounds both suffered from the often reported jamming of disks where the only option is to whip the lid off to retrieve the CD jammed in the deck. Thankfully both returned my cash after picking up the machine. I had one more try and bought a new one...perfect no trouble so far and I generally leave it on shuffle all tracks on all disks so the deck and changing mechanism work pretty hard. Good machine well worth the money but go for a new one.

Superb! Unexpected clarity and definition better than my Marantz Limited Edition. Imaging vastly superior as is massed voice and strings. This surely is one hell of an undiscovered bargain! And now my entire collection is out of sight. NEAT!
