The Path to Passing PRACTICE EXAM to Become Board-Certified in ABA

I took the as a practice exam leading up to the BCABA- I have not received my score yet so I will revise my update later.I would like to note there are some errors in the book. For example, a couple questions explain the correct answer in the back, but list the wrong letter choice as the corresponding correct answer. This was frustrating because when I self-scored I had to mark them as incorrect, but as I reviewed all of the test questions, I found my answer choice was correct and the author put the incorrect corresponding letter as correct.I also purchased the study book to go along with this. Overall I think they are a very good breakdown of the 4th edition task list but not the be all end all study manual (which the author does not claim to be). Great as supplemental material if you get past the errors.

Good questions but lots of wrong answers that threw me for a loop... I spent hours trying to determine whether I did not know my material or whether the author had wrong answers.... made me insecure and second guess myself. I’d say stick with with the online mocks through reputable websites. The only thing this helped me with was better reading of the question and actually dissecting questions...

This book was the most helpful book I purchased to study for the exam. It was significantly more difficult than the actual exam, which really helped me to feel confident. (and I passed!)

I'm sorry but I have to agree with others here.A lot of questions were too subjective and the answers were wrong.It only had one question with a graph.In the actual exam, I remember having a lot more graph or table questions.You may want to go with other familiar study materials like CBA modules or a book by Tony Mash.

I’ve read multiple books by Kernoff’s surrounding ABA and behavior management, and generally, I find his analysis to be complete and well-testing. He does fine work with discrimination of questions and is an expert in assessment. Furthermore, I found the book to give an objective stance and viewpoints in all areas. His reasoning section is clear, definitive and understandable to novice as well as experts in the field. Finally, I did have a quick question for the author and he returned by inquiry in less than 24 hours, which was a really nice bonus.

The book is poorly written with a fair amount of typos. The correct answers do not align with the answers described in the rationale. You are better off paying more for a better practice exam (BDS, fit, etc.)

This book perfectly aligns with Kernoff's Path to Passing the exam to become board certified in ABA. The reasoning section provides clear objective reasons for every answer.
