I recently became hooked on sandbag training using the standard model Rogue sandbags owned by my CrossFit box. The Rogue bags, while super durable, leak like crazy. I soon discovered that sand leakage is a common problem with many sandbag brands so I was on the hunt to find one that would work for my specific needs. A leaky bag would not be acceptable for me as I needed to use it on my carpeted basement floor. I also needed one for real deal heavy duty workouts where I fling the bag all around, drag it on the floor, and slam it down. This bag really delivers on all fronts. I put it through some insane workouts for several weeks and it stood up just fine. I have also used all of the grips, they are all well sewn on. The screw cap design for the internal bags are very unique, I didn't see it on any other brands, and they make all the difference in the world. The bags do not leak once you tighten the caps and place them in the shell, period. Other reviewers have complained about the small opening to pour in the sand. Trust me when I say you won't care once you fill them up once and the bag doesn't leak like nearly every other bag on the market.Some key tips on filling the internal bags:-Just use super cheap playground sand to fill the bag, sold at hardware stores-Use a funnel, I used a cheap plastic one for topping off oil in your car and it fits very well-Reserve some time for filling, it willl take at least 15 minutes to fill each bag (but you likely will only have to do this once!)-For medium bag, when using both filler bags do not fill both to max capacity. You will NOT be able to zip up the outer shells if you are trying to stuff both bags filled to max capacity. Filling them to about 85% or so capacity will work much better. This means that you will not get the full 40lbs weight, but between 32-35 lbs. However, this is still a good bit of weight and you will get a killer workout nontheless. Especially if you are doing the more intense HIIT or tabata style workouts with the bag (i.e. high reps and limited rest between sets).Bottom line, this bag is really your best bet to ensure a leak free experience and to end up with the bag in the same good condition at the end of your workout as it was in the beginning.

2 starsThe concept: its a great concept and the product applies well to workouts that are functionally oriented.The handles were well placed and the material seems durable until the handles start coming undone. Though this is where the music stops.I purchased this item for my home gym and only used one of the two filler bladders. With this in mind, 4 workouts in (1mo of having it) and the handles are coming undone.I am hoping to hear back from Iron Core to see how they will correct this. As you can see the handle and bag in the photo attached look new and that because they are.Disappointed? Not to much because as I said the design concept and effort in making the product are apparent but product failure cannot be tolerated at such an early stage in its use.For now I will use my duct taped wrapped sand bags. If this is corrected I will post and update as to its durability.

So far so good, about 40 sandbag workouts in. Way better than the few other brands I've tried (I had a skilz bag which leaked sand and tore at the seams and some other off brand which fell apart almost immediately). The two sand bladders work phenomenally. They are easy enough to fill and do NOT leak (which is a problem with other designs). The stitching appears to be pretty solid, but not quite as sturdy looking as I'd like. But becuase I throw it around a lot and have not heard a single stitch pop, I have to give it five stars.

I've had the 80lb sandbag system for almost a year and absolutely love it! So much that I bought this 40lb system as well. The construction is top shelf, no rips in any seams, the handles are strong and we'll placed. The outer shell can take a tremendous beating . The side zips closed and then buttons over to protect the zipper.Very happy customer and I highly recommend this product

This product is extremely durable, excellent quality. I've used it between three and five times a week, 45 minutes at a time for the past month and have had no issues with weak seems, zippers or filler bags. I'm very satisfied with this sandbag.

Don’t spend the extra money on other brands! This one does it all. Plus you get 3 different internal bags for easy customization

Absolutely love this thing. Probably the best one on the market that is reasonably priced. Only had it a few days now and it is holding true. Perfect for putting all those accessory muscles to use that don't usually get the attention. Right on Iron Core!!!I'll check back in, in a month or so and let you all know how it's holding up.
