Really loved the letters which added to my enjoyment of my favorite book - already looking forward to re-reading it again in a couple of years time!

My daughter and I are Austin fans and I have read the books many times. However we always like a little something different and this is perfect. Being able to hold and read the letters felt perfect, letting you feel like your part of the story. Beautifully written and styled, placed perfectly in the chapters. My daughter has this now and cannot contain her excitement about it. She is dyslexic and for many years struggled with reading, so for her to be so excited about a book was heartwarming. Thank you to the wonderful people whom created this!

To read and admire

For anyone who loves Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice, just as a novelty keepsake this book is a must! The book itself is beautiful the folded letters inside are just so lovely and old looking, I would highly recommend!

The book is exquisitely printed and bound on fine paper and is cleverly designed so that, even with the inserts for the letters, it sits comfortably in your hands. It is a thing of beauty, and, of course, therefore, a joy for ever! The research that has gone into this beautiful project is careful and thorough. The handwriting chosen for each character is authentic and expertly done. Of course, the letters are printed, but the frisson of opening Darcy's letter cannot be matched. Congratulations!

This is a charming idea, and very well executed. The letters are in pockets in appropriate places in the book. They are printed from hand-written letters, written by calligraphers using period-appropriate hands. They appear handwritten unless you get close enough to see the printing dots. The attention to detail is superb, including period-appropriate post marks and traces of wax seals. They are even folded according to the customs of the period! Well done indeed.If there's a criticism, perhaps they are written a bit neater than one would expect in real life, but still there are corrections and cross-outs and ink blots to be had, so I can't complain too much. Aside from the letters, the book itself is very nicely bound and printed. I have several copies of "Pride and Prejudice" already, ranging from ratty reading copies to fancy bound ones, and this one is certainly worth adding to the collection.Anyone wondering if this would be a good gift for an Austen-mad friend, yes, it will be. Anyone who loves Jane Austen is going to love this, almost guaranteed.I should also mention that where the editor has invented words to flesh out the letters (some of the letters are referred to in the original text but not quoted verbatim, so she had to embellish), it fits very well. I have not yet read them all, but the ones I've been through have no jarring anachronisms.

Didn't think there could be anything done to improve the finest novel n the English language but I was wrong. Every letter referenced in the book is there to read in an appropriate handwriting. Somehow it moves you even closer to the characters.

I loved all the attention to detail and wonderful extras in the novel. Beautifully crafted. The author put a lot of time and effort into this and this P&P lover was thrilled!

He sido fan de Orgullo y Prejuicio (Pride and Prejudice) por muchísimos años, lo he leído varias veces. Pero no hay nada como esta edición, es tan especial, sus cartas vienen dobladas como en la época y parecen escritas de verdad. Las cartas son un detalle que sobrepasa las expectativas de cualquier lector. He comprado dos en distintas ocasiones, uno como regalo pero al verlo me enamoré tanto que pedí otro para mi. La calidad del libro es espectacular, el papel de las hojas es delicado que le da un toque de vejez e importancia. Todo es 10/10!
